Today’s The Young and the Restless recap for October 25, 2023, details the Abbott family’s plan to ruin Tucker, as well as Nick’s discovery about his father. Plus, Christine had some news for Danny.
Ashley Shocked Jack And Diane
Tucker (Trevor St. John) and Jack ran into one another at the GCAC where Jack (Peter Bergman) returned Tucker’s wedding gift. He handed him the listening device Tucker planted in the bonsai tree, stunning Tucker because he had no idea it had been found. Jack assured him the Abbotts would always have the upper hand.
Diane (Susan Walters) was surprised when Ashley (Eileen Davidson) returned from Europe and headed straight to the Abbott home. She found her in the living room making herself comfortable. Ashley admitted her return would was surprise to the whole family as Diane tried to make sure they were still getting along.
Ashley was cordial and acknowledged that Diane saved her life and assured her they still had a truce. Diane then sincerely told her that she was sorry Ashley’s marriage didn’t work out. Ashley didn’t really want to talk about it but was curious as to what Tucker had been up to of late.
Diane explained that both Billy (Jason Thompson) and Jack were after Tucker and Billy wanted to use the news of the statutory rape coverup to ruin Tucker’s public reputation. Ashley didn’t think that would stop Tucker from going after Jabot.
When Jack and Billy returned home, the Abbott siblings got to work formulating a plan to keep Tucker at bay. Ashley decided she would be bait and make Tucker believe she wanted to reconcile in order to bring him down.
Kyle Made A Big Decision
Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Audra (Zuleyka Silver) dressed after their bed session and had a chat about her offer to have him help her and Tucker take Jabot from his family. He hated that Jack wouldn’t give him his old job back and was considering joining Audra to get it back through nefarious methods.
He wanted details so Audra gave him some. Tucker was angry that his marriage ended so he was going back to his original plan when he first returned to Genoa City — taking over Jabot. He would control it but give Kyle a position of his choice.
Kyle didn’t like the idea, but when Audra tried to defend Tucker, he wondered if she and Tucker had ever been sexual. She told him they had but left out the fact that their sexual relationship was ongoing. Kyle refused to let that info bother him and finally decided to join her little scheme.
Nick Learned The Truth About Victor
Nick (Joshua Morrow) came barreling into the ranch living room demanding to know what Victor (Eric Braeden) was really up to. Victor tried to feign innocence, but Nick knew that the doodle was a message for him based on a story Victor used to read him as a kid.
Nick believed the drawing was a cry for help as Victor’s health declined. He needed Nick by his side because he feared his other kids would betray him during his time of need so he wanted Nick back at Newman Enterprises. He still didn’t put it together that Victor was faking dementia.
However, he figured things out when Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) ordered Victor to just tell their son the truth. Victor admitted he put on an act so he could learn which of his children could really be trusted. Nick was outraged that his father would do such a thing.
He was on Victor’s side trying to prove that Adam wasn’t loyal but he hated what Victor’s act was doing to Victoria (Amelia Heinle). Victor made it clear he could not tell Vicky because he didn’t trust Nate (Sean Dominic).
Christine And Paul Split
Danny (Michael Damian) was surprised when Christine (Lauralee Bell) walked into Crimson Lights, but she was clearly upset and emotional. She had just returned from Portugal and sat with her ex for coffee. Danny could tell there was something wrong, but she didn’t want to talk about herself and wanted to know why Danny was back.
The subject of Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) came up and Danny insisted she was trying to change. Chris didn’t buy it because Phyllis hadn’t changed in 25 years so why would she start now? Christine couldn’t believe that Danny would give Phyllis another chance.
When the talk of Phyllis ended, Chris finally confessed that her marriage was over and there was nothing she could do about it. She and Paul (Doug Davidson) had already been having problems before he left GC, but now they seemed insurmountable.
