Today’s The Bold and the Beautiful recap for October 25, 2023, details Eric’s preparations for the fashion show and Donna’s broken heart.
Lauren Fenmore Arrived In LA
Eric (John McCook) busied himself with putting the finishing touches on the gowns for the fashion showdown while trying to forget the fact that he was sick and dying. RJ (Joshua Hoffman) was right there by his side to help, but was alarmed by Eric’s coughing.
Eric quickly hid his bloody handkerchief from sight before putting on a happy face and greeting Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) and Esther Valentine (Kate Linder), who were in town for the show straight from Genoa City. Esther couldn’t believe Lauren invited her to attend such an event. She was in awe of all the gowns and couldn’t wait to own a Forrester original like her beloved Mrs. Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper).
When Eric told Lauren this collection was his grand finale, she was confused. Why would he give up on designing when he was still at the top of his fashion game? She also wanted to know why Eric was in the design room and not his office. Eric brushed off her questions and said it was a situation that would be resolved soon.
Maybe Lauren needed to keep her eye on Esther as she seemed to look through some Forrester files. When Charlie (Dick Christie) caught Esther, he stopped her in her tracks and she explained that she was just trying to clean. She was also clearly smitten with Charlie, but Lauren wanted her to meet Eric.
Donna Had A Dilemma
At the Forrester mansion, Donna (Jennifer Gareis) and Katie (Heather Tom) discussed Eric’s condition. Donna was still an emotional mess remembering close moments with Eric and Katie was there for her to lean on. Katie also had some advice for her sister.
She implored Donna to tell Ridge the truth about his father because he deserved to know, but Donna insisted that Eric didn’t want to be pitied. She couldn’t betray his trust but she also agreed with Katie that keeping the news from Ridge was wrong.
Donna could barely even think about it because she was still trying to absorb the news. She knew Eric was getting older and that there was an age difference between them, but she never imagined that she would lose him so soon. He still seemed so strong and vibrant and she thought they’d have many more years together. Katie advised her sister to make the most of every moment she had left with Eric.
