This week’s Days of our Lives recap for the week of July 1 – 5, 2024, featured EJ doing damage control, Abe and Kate teaming up, Everett turning the tables, and so, so much more.

Monday, July 1st
The teen scene drama heated up with Tate (Leo Howard) begging his father to talk sense into Theresa (Emily O’Brien) and Holly (Ashley Puzemis) griping to Eric (Greg Vaughan) about her overprotective mother. Both were refused help. This prompted them to want to run away.
Melinda (Tina Huang) mocked EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) for giving her immunity and threatened to tell Nicole (Arianne Zucker) the truth. As luck would have it, Nicole overheard the tale end of the conversation and flipped her lid that Melinda walked away free.
Later, EJ suggested she work for DiMera as a way to keep buying her silence. She wasn’t the only one getting an offer, though. At the same time, Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) asked Ava (Tamara Braun) to work with her.
Speaking of being free, Gabi got to go home. She was thrilled, her husband was thrilled, and EJ was just happy his secret was safe. The happy couple wasted no time hitting the sheets.
Tuesday, July 2nd
It was another heartbreaking day for Chanel (Raven Bowens) and Johnny (Carson Boatman). They mourned the loss of their child and Johnny had to forfeit his exciting job offer. The only good news that came was Paulina (Jackée Harry) wasn’t at fault. The baby wasn’t viable from the start.
Meanwhile, Kate (Lauren Koslow) turned to Abe (James Reynolds) with an offer to team up and create a TV show. Abe was intrigued, especially since his favorite show was Body & Soul. Wouldn’t it be great to produce a soap?!
Over at SPD, Steve (Stephen Nichols) confessed everything to Jada in the hopes of getting mercy. It would have worked if he had actually told EVERYTHING. He left out John (Drake Hogestyn) and Ava’s roles which rubbed Jada the wrong way.
Stephanie (Abigail Klein) and Marlena (Deidre Hall) paid Everett (Blake Berris) a visit but found Bobby instead. It did not go well. Later, Bobberett hid his pills in the leg of his hospital bed.
Wednesday, July 3rd
On this episode of Days of our Lives, Jada took a turn trying to get through to Everett. Once again, the effort fell flat. He did offer to help her solve a crime, though. A murder.
Abe learned his favorite show was cancelled which irked him. No bother, he and Kate decided to try and buy the rights! Meanwhile, Paulina was given bad news from Stephanie…people aren’t happy she fired Melinda.
Steve told Marlena he turned himself in…and kept Ava and John out of it. He warned Marlena the cops may come around asking questions. She then confessed that John tried to kill him before taking off to Greece and she was scared he wouldn’t want to come home. Steve decided to fly there and find out what’s up.
After a talk with Julie, Chad ran to question Kayla about the day Abigail died. He wanted all the details. He asked if it was possible she was wrong about the death. Could Abigail still be alive? Later, he asked Paulina for permission to exhume his wife’s body.
Thursday, July 4th
Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) told Justin (Wally Kurth) he’s engaged and it was clear he wasn’t too pleased. He strongly suggested a prenup but Alex wouldn’t hear of it. Theresa overheard and offered up her signature, but again, Alex wouldn’t hear of it.
Tate and Holly plotted their great escape but their call was overheard by Rachel (Finley Rose Slater). Holly bribed her with perfume for her silence. At the same time, Tate asked Aaron to go to summer camp in his place.
Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) surprised Xander (Paul Telfer) by gifting him an inheritance. A HUGE inheritance. Xander was touched but turned her down. He’d rather work for his money these days.
Friday, July 5th
Eric made his farewell rounds, starting with Nicole and later, with Marlena. Neither were happy to hear he was heading to Paris. But, he just couldn’t stay here and watch Nicole be with EJ and see them raising baby Jude.
EJ talked Gabi into taking the podium at his press conference, which she did. She thanked everyone who helped get her free and then exposed EJ’s secret. She told the world that baby Jude is Eric’s son!
Jada paid Bobby another visit and demanded answers. Yes, Bobby did know about a murder…Li Shin’s murder! Speaking of, it was revealed that Connie did the stabbing (through her own flashbacks). And, she’s now living in the vacant apartment.
