This week’s The Young and the Restless recap for the week of May 13th featured Traci kissing Alan, Kyle shading Diane, Adam and Chelsea cheating, Victor upping the ante, and so, so much more!
The Young and the Restless Recap
Monday, July 1st
Abby (Melissa Ordway) finally got to see her mom…and got the whole story. She wasn’t pleased Traci (Beth Maitland) and the rest of the Abbotts left her in the dark, but what was done was done. After their talk, Alan showed up with a gift for Traci and asked her out for a drink at Martin’s favorite bistro (does Alan drink?). They shared a kiss.
The vote to de-merge Chancellor-Winters went down, but not before Billy spilled his mother’s secret that she’s sick. Jill was furious and ended up voting against her son. Unfortunately for her, everyone else voted with Billy and he got his way.
Summer (Allison Lanier) showed up to see Harrison but since he was napping she got into it with Kyle (Michael Mealor) instead. She demanded to know what was going on with him and Audra () and then demanded to revisit their custody agreement.
Tuesday, July 2nd
Jack (Peter Bergman) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) had a chance run-in at the club that ended with Nikki offering her support. Jack took her up on the offer and unloaded all his woes, including his wife firing his son.
Meanwhile, Michael (Christian LeBlanc) and Diane (Susan Walter) met at Crimson Lights for a coffee where he promptly told her about Victor’s demand he befriend her. Diane was furious but Michael promised he would never try to take her down.
At the same time, Kyle and Audra (Zuleyka Silver) met Victor in the park and promised to play nice from here on out. They also assured they’d keep his name out of Glissade…for now. Later, Kyle met Claire for a little date at Society and Victor went to mock Diane.
Cole (J. Eddie Peck) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) spent the evening together at the Tack House waiting for Claire to come home. They agreed to set a good example by living in the here and now.
Wednesday, July 3rd
Nate and Audra toasted to her success and Tucker’s downfall and of course, things got flirty. By the end of the night, they were making out on the way to her room.
Summer whined to Chance (Conner Floyd) and he gave her the news about Chancellor-Winters…and that he was offered to be the COO of Abbott-Chancellor. At the same time, Lily told Billy she had doubts about leaving her family company and Billy realized he’d been played.
Over at the Abbott mansion, Jack demanded to know what his son was up to with Victor, but Kyle wasn’t spilling anything. Instead, he threw being fired in Jack’s face and went at Diane for running off for years. Then, he threatened to move out. Jack immediately texted Victor.
Thursday, July 4th
On this episode of The Young and the Restless, Sally (Courtney Hope) and Billy ran into each other at Crimson Lights and had a good talk about Chelsea and Adam. They hoped things were going well. They should have worried, though, since Adam and Chelsea slammed back a few drinks and in bed together.
Jack stormed into the Newman office for a showdown with Victor. And, he got one! Back at the mansion, things were just as heated between Diane and Kyle. She begged him to stay in the house – for Harrison’s sake, at least – but Kyle wasn’t having it.
After an unsuccessful showdown with Victor, Jack ran into Nick and warned him to keep his father way from Kyle! Then, he went home to try to make peace with his son. That didn’t work out in his favor, either. Kyle demanded he prove his love by firing Diane.
Friday, July 5th
Kyle and Victor met up at Society and swapped stories of their confrontations. Kyle pledged his undying loyalty to Victor before asking if this was, indeed, an attack on his dad. Victor avoided the question. Later, Clare showed up and Victor stood outside spying on her and Kyle.
Chelsea and Adam woke up and faced the fact they were cheating cheaters who cheat. They at least agreed it was a mistake. However, they then agreed to be lying liars and keep this to themselves.
Summer turned to her parents for help with the whole Kyle situation. She’s sick of him and his destructive ways. His teaming up with Audra proved he was unstable. Summer mentioned custody and they reminded her Kyle is Harrison’s biological parent, she is not. She later stopped but the mansion and Diane all but begged for her help with Kyle.
