The Days of our Lives recap for the week of July 29th featured Everett breathing his last, Kate and Abe shoring up cast and crew for the new endeavor, and so much more.

Monday, July 29th
Friends and family gathered at the Brady Pub to bid Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) adieu…. Holly (Ashley Puzemis) filled Tate (Leo Howard) in on Theresa’s (Emily O’Brien) arrest…. Andrew (Colton Little) agreed to try and intercede on Theresa’s behalf.
Abe (James Reynolds) tried and failed to convince Marlena (Deidre Hall) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) to join the cast of Body & Soul…. Tate felt guilty when Theresa agreed to let him resume seeing Holly once he “returns” from lacrosse camp.
Tuesday, July 30th
Hattie Adams (Deidre Hall) won the audition for Charlemagne – much to Kate’s (Lauren Koslow) chagrin…. Chanel (Raven Bowens) and Johnny (Carson Boatman) agreed that they’re still interested in starting a family – when the time is right…. Johnny accepted an offer to become resident director of Body & Soul.
Connie (Julie Dove) weasled her way into Bobby’s (Blake Berris) hotel room and managed to swipe his key. She then reentered and planted the gloves she wore to stab Rafe (Galen Gering); Leo (Greg Rikaart) stymied her attempted escape… Jada (Elia Cantu) deduced that “Everett” was really Bobby.
Wednesday, July 31st
Gabi’s (Cherie Jimenez) presence continued to unnerve Ava (Tamara Braun)…. Stefan (Brandon Barash) surprised Gabi with a romantic dinner for two at The Bistro to celebrate their wedding anniversary…. Leo (Greg Rikaart) made an effort to make amends with Gwen only to be coldly rebuffed.
Connie managed to slip out of Bobby’s room unnoticed. She later delighted in her recollection of spiking Bobby’s beverage. Opposite, Bobby began to feel the effects of the drug and made a mad dash back to his room. Stephanie and Jada converged on the scene…. Connie eavesdropped on Ava and Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) discussing the former’s affair with Stefan.
Thursday, August 1st
Everett succumbed to the poison, but not before saying a tearful goodbye to Stephanie. Connie’s frame job does the trick, though Stephanie and Jada do note that a call was placed to 9-1-1 from Everett’s cell…. Ava and Melinda (Tina Huang) agreed that Connie is strange but harmless.
Despite pressing queries from Gabi, Stefan managed to keep his and Ava’s dalliance under wraps…. Chad (Billy Flynn) and Jack (Matthew Ashford) were able to decipher a billboard in the background of the surveillance video and make plans to head to Missouri.
Friday, August 2nd
A gravely concerned Steve (Stephen Nichols) returned from Greece sans John (Drake Hogestyn). During a catch-up with Kayla, he confides that John has been radio-silent since leaving a blood-splattered note on Katarina’s grave marker.
Paul (Christopher Sean) worked to alleviate Marlena’s growing concern for John and Brady (Eric Martsolf)…. Brady and Fiona (Serena Scott Thomas) agreed to keep their epic bender secret…. Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) pressed Xander (Paul Telfer) to reconnect with his mother…. Chad and Jack managed to track down the building in which they believe Abigail is being held. They gain entry and gasp at the sight before them.
