Today’s Days of Our Lives recap for November 17, 2023, details Konstantin’s dirty plot, Alex’s proposition, and Chad’s big move.
The Quickest Kidnapping EVER
While Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) chastised Xander (Paul Telfer) for playing dirty in the custody suit, Konstantin (John Kapelos) did his best to convince Theresa (Emily O’Brien) to take the baby so he could rescue her and earn Sarah’s trust. Theresa was horrified at the thought because she didn’t steal babies. Konstantin quickly threatened to tell Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) the truth about his paternity.
So, Theresa did as told and Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) saw a hooded figure swipe the baby before finding Konstantin on the floor pretending he was knocked out. Konstantin then faked fear and ran after the fake kidnapper. Maggie then called Sarah, who thought Xander was behind it all.
Sarah and Xander made their way to the Kiriakis mansion where Sarah finally believed Xander was innocent. At that point, she fell into his arms for comfort. At least Theresa was taking good care of the baby in the park.
She didn’t even want to hand the baby back to Konstantin when he arrived to perform his fake rescue. As expected, everyone was grateful when Konstantin came barreling in with Victoria Margaret. By the end of the hour, Konstantin pulled Maggie into a kiss and Xander suggested to Sarah that he drop the custody suit.
Is Brady Jealous?
Alex was still living in his oblivious world believing he was the Kiriakis heir and entitled to do whatever he pleased. He was even bringing Bella Magazine back, had Theresa on board, and now he wanted Brady (Eric Martsolf) to bring Basic Black back to Titan.
When Brady heard the news about Theresa, he wondered if Alex had a thing for Theresa, but he insisted they were just friends. In the end, Brady agreed to work with both of them. Later, when Theresa called Konstantin to check on the baby, Brady overheard parts of the conversation.
Chad’s Big Spectator Plan
Gwen (also Emily O’Brien) was shocked when Chad (Billy Flynn) called her to offer to buy The Spectator. She wasn’t having much luck getting the von Leuchner fortune so she was thrilled with Chad’s offer of a quick cash infusion. However, she had to give it some thought because this was her father’s old paper after all and she stabbed Jack (Matthew Ashford) in the back to get it.
Chad managed to convince her that Jack would be happy he sold it to his son-in-law, especially since Abby was the editor when she was murdered. Chad still explained he wanted to buy the paper because the new editor was Stephanie’s ex.
In the end, Gwen said yes because she read the editorial praising Leo and Dimitri and was ticked. That was definitely still a sore spot in Gwen’s life.
Stephanie (Abigail Klein) was not pleased when Everett (Blake Berris) mentioned how she must really get around, considering she has had two boyfriends since his coma and not just one. Everett apologized for once again putting his foot in his mouth, but Stephanie assured him it was fine and she wasn’t serious with Alex the way she was with Chad.
Everett wanted to hear more about Stephanie’s life before they parted ways, so she confessed that she only dated Alex because he had ghosted her and she wanted to feel wanted. She admitted Alex had a hard time letting go, but clearly, so was Everett.
With his deal now set, Chad returned to the Pub and was more jealous than ever when he heard that Stephanie had been venting all her problems to Everett. Surprisingly, Chad chose to be complimentary while telling him he was doing a great job at The Spectator.
