General Hospital has put out a casting call for “Lauren,” a 34 to 40-year-old blonde, white woman described as “beautiful, dynamic, and fiery.”
Could Lulu Spencer Be On Her Way Back To General Hospital?
What’s more, “Lauren” has “overcome challenging circumstances and is now stronger and more determined than ever.” The actress selected to helm the part will be in front of the cameras come mid-September for a late October or early November debut.
While the ABC sudser could indeed be poised to introduce a brand new character named Lauren, the description certainly puts one in mind of Laura (Genie Francis) and Luke’s (Tony Geary) fiesty youngest.
Lulu Spencer, of course, was last played by Emme Rylan, and last seen head-to-toe in December 2020. Subsequent “appearances” have been essayed by uncredited actresses whose faces are never seen.
Since that time, Lulu has been languishing in a coma in a facility in upstate New York — the direct result of an explosion engendered by her (since repentant) Uncle Cyrus.
TVInsider was the first to report the casting notice.
What say you General Hospital devotees? Is “Lauren” merely a smoke screen for a recast Lulu? Get to speculating, then drop ’em in the comments section below.
