Ever since Nicholas Alexander Chavez’s Spencer plunged into the Seine — depriving ‘Sprina’ fans of one-half of the beloved, burgeoning super-couple — all has been quiet on the story front for Tabyana Ali and her alter-ego — a fact which hasn’t been lost on the actress. Still, all things considered, she understands the backburning.
Tabyana Ali Addresses Status On State Of Mind
During her second sit down with fellow General Hospital star Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) — host of the YouTube series State of Mind — (which you can watch in full above) Ali granted that “I’m just kind of in the gray zone at the moment which, that’s fine. I think I’m just kind of observing everybody else’s trials and tribulations. Trina is I guess in the process of coming out of grieving.
“You know, your soulmate dies, you ain’t going to get over that tomorrow, right? I think it’s just this whole time this has been a lot about Spencer and [Trina’s] grieving and just figuring out what I’m going to do for the future, and what are my next steps and how am I going to be okay with that.”

But not so okay that she hasn’t taken a stab (pun intended!) at playing armchair headwriter. “At first, how I really wanted this to go down is that [Trina] becomes a killer. [She’s] like, ‘I’m so pissed off at the world that now I’m going to go ahead and wreak havoc!”
