Kim Delaney, who came to daytime fame as Jenny Gardner on All My Children in the 1980s and most recently played Jackie Templeton on General Hospital, has been accused of causing a Los Angeles car accident and trying to flee from the scene.
Kim Delaney’s Legal Nightmare
According to TMZ, a man named Dzhamal Badalov has filed legal paperwork alleging that Delaney hit his motorcycle with her vehicle in November of 2022 and tried to drive away without stopping. His lawsuit also claims that bystanders finally stopped Delaney until she got out of her car and called for help.
Badalov is alleging that Delaney was driving erratically in and out of lanes until she hit him, which caused him to then fly off the road. He also says that she seemed to be intoxicated and the person on the other end of the phone urging her to pay Badalov rather than get the police involved in the incident.
TMZ also reports that Delaney is being charged with a hit and run and is due in court next, according to legal documents they obtained.
Delaney’s Hollywood Career
Delaney is a rare performer who seamlessly made the move from daytime to primetime and has appeared in such hit series as NYPD Blue and Army Wives. Her iconic role as AMC’s Jenny ended when the character was famously killed on an exploding jet ski while on her honeymoon with Greg Nelson (Laurence Lau).
She made a return to soaps nearly four decades later when Delaney landed the role of Jackie on GH, a part originated by movie star Demi Moore. As GH fans know, Jackie turned out to be Harrison Chase’s mother. Her ex-husband Gregory is now dying from ALS and fans wonder if Jackie will make it back to Port Charles to be with him.
