In the immediate aftermath of her contentious confrontation with Katie (Heather Tom, The Bold and the Beautiful), Poppy (Romy Park) finds herself questioning the stability of her new status quo.

And while Bill (Don Diamont) works overtime to assure Poppy and Luna (Lisa Yamada) of how much they mean to him, the elder Nozawa remains on high alert.

Muses Park to Soap Opera Digest: “What I will say is, even if Poppy has absolutely no reason to be concerned, anybody who spreads gossip or tries to railroad you in some way, that stuff spreads and has a way of really infecting somebody and poisoning somebody’s mind. I think she has a lot to be concerned about, which is why I think she has to stand up for herself and be like, ‘You know what, enough is enough.’”

Look for Poppy to do just that when Katie comes calling a second time and puts her on the spot where Tom Star is concerned. Says Park: “Poppy, who doesn’t know Katie very well, apart from being Bill’s ex, thinks it’s really none of her business. It’s nobody’s business. And she’s not willing to share that with anybody who isn’t involved.”

As for whether or not the actress believes Poppy and Bill are a true love match or if her alter-ego is merely taking him for a ride, Park proffered: “I think she’s looking for someone who can really take care of her. [Bill is] strong. But not just financially, but emotionally, physically, you know. And he loves her daughter. He’s a good father.

“I’ve always played Poppy, since it was mentioned from the start, that she had a propensity to be attracted to older, richer men. Psychologically, she must have some father issues. That’s what you would look for: You would look for somebody who would take care of you. She’s looking for something that didn’t fulfill her as a child. And I think Bill just ticks all the boxes for her.”
