The Bold and the Beautiful: As One Cast Member Leaves, Fans of the Show Express Sadness

This past week on The Bold and the Beautiful, fans were shocked to see one of their favorite characters, Steffy leaving the country. She just couldn’t handle the stress of being married to Shelia’s son because of how Shelia has been treating her. Shelia is pushing Steffy to see her grandchild, but her actions have made Steffy run with her children. There is a reason that the show has written Steffy off though. In fact, the actress that plays Steffy, Jacqueline MacInnes is leaving the show for a very short time due to maternity leave. This has her fans concerned that she will be gone much longer than they think. Let’s find out more.

The Birth Of MacInnes’ Child

Back in August, MacInnes gave birth to her son and now she has gone on maternity leave. This is one of the reasons that the writers made her character flee the country for an unknown amount of time. Her last appearance on the show was the September 7 episode where her character decided that her best plan of action was to leave the country. Steffy cannot deal with her mother-in-law, Shelia meddling in her marriage to Shelia’s son. Steffy took the kids to Europe so that she could feel safe and know that the kids were safe as well.

As soon as the viewers saw Steffy take off, they wanted to express just how concerned they were. They were very upset by how abruptly she left the show. Quite a few of her fans said that they were brought to “tears” when they found out that she was leaving. When fans found out that this was just a temporary leave, they were a little more excited to hear this good news. She has been open that this is just a “short break” so that she can spend time with her newborn son. This has given her fans hope that they will see more of her soon enough. However, there is no return date for her as of yet and her fans understand just how important it is for her to spend quality time with her baby.

The New Baby Posts on Social Media

The new baby came to MacInnes and her husband on August 27. She reached out to her followers on social media about his birth and just how excited she was to welcome him into the world. She shared some photos and captioned them, “August 27th, our baby boy Valor James Ruspoli was born. Our hearts are so full. Thank you for all the messages. Just been taking this time to slow down and soak in this moment.” This is actually her fourth child with her husband, Elan Ruspoli. They have three other sons Rise, Lenix, and Brando. MacInnes told her fans back in April that she was expecting another child with her husband.

When MacInnes made the announcement that she was expecting another child, there were a lot of questions about when she would leave the show and how long she would be gone. Her fans shared with her just how excited they were for her baby’s arrival and they posted on her social media account. One wrote to her, “Enjoy your new bundle of love… I couldn’t be happier for you, my friend. Hugs to the whole family.” Another added, “So happy for you ALL!!!”
