Rebecca Budig Dishes on The Real Reason Taylor Returned to The Bold and the Beautiful

Rebecca Budig’s Thoughts On Taylor’s Goal

Budig touched base with Soaps In Depth this week to discuss her fabulous character’s return to the canvas. As the third lucky lady to take on the role of Dr. Taylor Hayes, we couldn’t wait to hear her thoughts on what she’s up to!

“I think what’s important to her is being with her daughter, who’s been through so many things since she’s been gone and I think she feels like she’s missed out on being a support system for her,” Budig teased. “So yeah, she’s back to be with her family… and also Ridge.”

Does this mean the decades-old love triangle will soon be front and center once again? Not so fast! Taylor may love Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) but he’s made his choice clear. He’s back with Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and happier than ever. To this, Rebecca assures, “They share children together and I just think he is the love of her life and I think that she’s getting older and just wants to be around familiarity.”

She went on to explain that Taylor does (and will probably always) love Ridge, but right now, they’re just great friends. “. She realizes that he’s with Brooke, so she’s not after him in any sort of romantic way.”
