Ever since the moment he walked on set, Tanner Novlan has stolen the hearts of The Bold and the Beautiful viewers. The introduction of Finn changed the face of the show and put a halt to decades of the Hope/Liam/Steffy love triangle. Sinn fast became a fan-favorite supercouple. Is there still hope for their future, though? We touched base with the actor to get the scoop!
Tanner Novlan Has the Scoop!
First and foremost, we had to know if Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Finn would finally get some peace. “Anytime a couple goes through a traumatic experience like this they need time to reflect,” mused Novlan. “I absolutely think this will be a new level of depth for Sinn.”
As for all that trauma, poor Steffy once again fell into the hands of one of Finn’s evildoer family members. It was bad enough when Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) tried to take her out, but now Luna (Lisa Yamada)?! We can’t imagine that’s going to be easy for the pair. “It’s really interesting because it’s Luna,” Tanner agreed. “He’s really blindsided by her actions and never thought in a million years she’d be a villain.”

On the topic of Luna, we couldn’t help but address the fan rumors that Finn is her daddy. While Novlan wouldn’t confirm (nor deny) he did have a good laugh at the thought of Finn’s life being twisted in that way, “I would be pretty shocked. But…Finn is an original character and there is so much backstory left to be discovered.”
Thankfully, it looks like Luna’s going to be behind bars for the foreseeable future. However, Steffy’s biggest rival is still walking the streets. Can we expect more drama from the She-Devil? That all depends on if Finn can keep his side of the street clean. “One of his major character flaws is his big heart and his willingness for forgive,” said Novlan. “With Sheila on good behavior right now, that’s something he appreciates. Whether it’s a new Sheila or a manipulation ploy, we’ll have to find out.”
Of course, Sheila isn’t the only woman in town who could derail their relationship. Hope (Annika Noelle) has spent months waiting in the wings to try and get Finn to slip up. Tanner promises Finn has his eyes wide open about her. “One of the lessons that he’s learning or he’s learning through his wife is sometimes you can’t help everyone.”
More than anything, Tanner is ready to take Finn to the next level. “Finn is a very unique character to have in the soap world in the way that he has great morals. I applaud the writers and Brad Bell for writing him that way because that’s what makes it so interesting how that can be exploited and get him into a whole bunch of conflict in a new, refreshing way.”
