Today’s The Bold and the Beautiful recap for October 27, 2023, details the start of the big Forrester Fashion Showdown under the specter of Eric’s mystery illness.

The Show Must Go On

The Bold and the Beautiful – Lauren and Marie Osmond

Katie (Heather Tom), Donna (Jennifer Gareis), and Eric (John McCook) took in the sights before the fashion showdown began. The runway looked divine, the seats were set up, and the champagne was set to flow. Eric even thought it was wonderful to go head-to-head with his son and let the best man win. He said he never felt more alive in his life.

Donna and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) soon greeted the guests, including Marie Osmond as a friend of Brooke’s. When Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) and Esther (Kate Linder) arrived, the scene became comical, but Esther was in awe of all that she saw. She couldn’t believe she was in the Forrester showroom. Charlie (Dick Christie) then appeared to flirt with Esther.

Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), Brooke, and Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) prepped for the show in Eric’s office, with Ridge chastising Carter for asking too much and jinxing things. After Brooke left to see Katie, both Carter and Ridge went over the rules and couldn’t wait for the festivities to start.

Eric’s Grand Finale Commences

RJ (Joshua Hoffman) was distracted as he worked on alterations and thought about everything Eric had told him the day before. His grandfather was dying and he was devastated. Luna (Lisa Yamada) could tell something was wrong so RJ finally opened up to her and told her what was really going on. She couldn’t believe he still wanted to go on with this contest, but RJ told her that Eric was insistent.

Before the show was set to start, Brooke and Ridge had a talk and she could tell how nervous he was. She knew it was because he was about to battle his father and he didn’t want anyone to have hurt feelings when everything was said and done. Donna had the same type of chat with Eric.

Finally, Katie gathered the guests and announced the rules. Nobody would know who designed what to make this a fair fight. As the models got ready to walk the runway, Eric and Ridge shared a close moment backstage. They each vowed to win, but as soon as Ridge walked away, Eric had a coughing fit that brought home just how important a victory really was to him.
