Hope Confides in Finn:
The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) recap for Thursday, October 12, reveals that Hope confided in Finn about Deacon’s love for Sheila and was relieved to have a sympathetic ear. As soon as Hope made the decision to tell Brooke, Finn foresaw that “all hell was going to break loose.” Hope had to inform Brooke of her progress nonetheless and try to reason with Deacon with the help of her mother.
Sheila remained upbeat and genuinely thought their relationship might be what brought their families together, while Deacon wallowed in his disappointment over Hope’s response back at his apartment. Deacon reasoned that perhaps grudging acceptance was the best they could hope for, but Sheila emphasized that they should not undervalue her. Sheila warned Deacon that Brooke would soon be at his door as they cuddled on the couch, adding that it was only a matter of time.
At Forrester Creations, Ridge expressed confidence in Forrester’s ability to prevail in the design competition, but he hoped he would not undermine RJ’s self-belief in the process. Although Brooke would like to work with his son in the future, RJ appeared to need to work with Eric right now, so Ridge told him that he would prefer it. On Thursday’s B&B episode, Hope eventually blew in and admitted that she was still reeling from what she had learned.
Deacon and Sheila’s Romance:
Hope revealed that Deacon was in a relationship with someone she had only recently met at his apartment after Brooke and Ridge pressed for details. Hope announced that it was Sheila Carter, which Ridge and Brooke were eager to know! In contrast to Ridge, who briefly closed his eyes in disgust at Deacon’s behavior, Brooke gaped at the astounding news. In the design office, RJ said he’d pretend he didn’t see that letter of resignation and refused to let Luna walk out that door.
Luna’s Family Secrets:
RJ coaxed Luna to reveal more about herself to him, and then they sat together and waited for a confession. Luna acknowledged that she applied for the job at Forrester Creations without getting her mother’s permission. The moment Luna mentioned that Poppy did not want her in a precarious situation, she identified her aunt as Li. Luna claimed that Li was fiercely protective of Finn, which left RJ perplexed because he had assumed Li would be pleased about her employment there.
Li essentially viewed Forrester Creations as being Finn’s domain given that he was wed to Steffy. The resignation letter, according to Luna, was forced upon her by Li because of their recent argument. Luna suggested that Li and Poppy were very different people because Li had always been critical of Poppy. RJ did not criticize Luna for not disclosing her connection to Li earlier and found it impressive that she was hired without any connections, despite Luna’s guilt over not doing so sooner. RJ argued that Aunt Li did not have the authority to make decisions for Luna because this was not her life.
Luna was able to make decisions for herself because she had earned her position at Forrester Creations. Despite the fact that they were only getting to know one another, RJ claimed that there was something incredibly special about Luna, and he did not want this to end. RJ declared that Luna would not be leaving Forrester and gave her another kiss before looking into her eyes. He had earlier insisted that he did not give a damn what Li had to say.
