Today’s The Bold and the Beautiful recap for December 11, 2023, details Eric’s possible last days…or a new beginning.
Eric’s On Death’s Door
After his grand collapse at his grand soiree, an ambulance rushed Eric (John McCook) to the hospital where a frantic Donna (Jennifer Gareis) tried to find out if this was the end. Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) were also on hand worried about Eric.
The doctor wasn’t sure if Eric was going to make it, but he allowed his family to see him. Donna wasn’t ready to lose her honey bear just yet and begged him to wake up. Brooke also sat at Eric’s bedside and remembered times with her first husband and father of her two oldest children.
Ridge then spent time at Eric’s bedside alone remembering times from his childhood when Eric was there for him. Ridge seemed more accepting of Eeric’s condition than anyone and told him he didn’t have to fight anymore. He could go if he wanted.
When Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) arrived, Finn (Tanner Novlan) immediately found her and explained that he had been doing some research. There might be hope for Eric if they act fast. When Donna and Ridge heard the news, they had different reactions. Donna was all for it, but Ridge was not as sure when he heard the treatment was experimental.
Forrester Family Tears
Back at the Forrester mansion, Eric’s loved ones sat around waiting for news and tried to look for some kind of hope. At least there was a doctor in the house who convinced them not to go to the hospital and descend on Eric’s doctors. Bridget (Ashley Jones) insisted that they let the medical professionals do their work.
However, Steffy didn’t care. She rushed to the hospital to find Finn when he didn’t return her texts. She left the rest of the family to discuss the night’s events. One thing they could all agree on was that it was good the truth about the fashion challenge was now out there.
Thorne (Winsor Harmon) soon broke down crying while Hope (Annika Noelle) asked Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) how they could break the news to Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri). Thomas wanted to wait and see if there would be any news to break.
