The Bold and the Beautiful kicks off a new week with confrontations. Tensions are mounting in the Forrester family as Eric and Ridge prepare for battle on the runway. Meanwhile, Brooke is in for a shock when she catches Hope and Thomas in a compromising position. Here’s a recap of what happened during the Sept. 18, 2023 episode.

Ridge and RJ Disagree About Eric’s Designs

At Forrester Creations, Brooke and RJ are in the CEO office. Brooke tells RJ she’s proud of him for designing. However, she admits she’s concerned that working with Eric will cause more friction between Ridge and Eric. Ridge comes in and says he wants to see RJ. Ridge surprises RJ when he tells his son that he’s happy he’s pursuing a design career. Brooke excuses herself, leaving the two to talk.

RJ says he’s happy for Ridge’s support. The young man says he’s learned a lot from Eric. Ridge says Eric’s a good designer, but he doesn’t think it’s right he enlisted RJ to help with his collection. RJ asks why Ridge wants Eric to retire, and Ridge admits he’s concerned about his dad. RJ reveals that Eric still has fire left in him and isn’t ready to give up. The discussion then turns to RJ’s future as a designer. Ridge says he knew RJ had talent as a kid and he’s glad to see him become a designer. Ridge says that he can’t wait to work with RJ and their collection are going to be the future of Forrester Creations.

Eric Defends His Designs

Donna and Eric and canoodling at the Forrester mansion. She says she’s happy to see him designing again. Eric replies he feels creatively fulfilled again and working with RJ has done wonders. Donna then starts to ask about Ridge’s visit until Carter arrives.

Carter looks around at the sketches and dresses, and says it must be true about Eric’s final collection. While Carter understands Eric’s need to create, he cautions him. Carter says it’s his job to keep things running smoothly and present Forrester Creations as a multi-generational family company. Eric argues that it’s always the older generation that has to step aside for the younger generation. The Forrester patriarch tells Carter he sounds just like Ridge. Eric stuns Carter and Donna when he says that he challenged Ridge to a runway battle. Carter advises Eric against the idea, but Eric says it’s too late. His collection will prevail at the show and he’ll silence his critics.

Donna returns after escorting Carter out. She wonders if they should’ve told him about Eric’s arthritis. Eric says no, he wants to keep it quiet, the only people who know are Donna, RJ, and the doctors.

Hope and Thomas Are Caught In The Act

In their office, Hope and Thomas are basking in the afterglow of their lovemaking. Hope asks if she locked the door, and Thomas joked she did after she took her clothes off. They kiss and Thomas said this was worth the wait. Hope asks Thomas if he’s fine with their current arrangement and he says yes.

As the couple gets dressed, Brooke barges in with samples. Hope jokes that Brooke needs to work on her timing. Brooke replies she wasn’t expecting to find Hope and Thomas doing what they were doing. A snarky Hope replies that Brooke and Ridge probably did it many times. Brooke says this isn’t about her and Ridge, but Hope and Thomas. She thought this fling of theirs was over, but Hope says it was her decision to continue it. Hope then explains she’s set boundaries with Thomas and they have a no strings attached relationship. Brooke asks Hope about Liam and their family because she knows she loves Liam. Hope doesn’t respond to Brooke, but looks at Thomas.
