Devastation For Thorne And Bridget

Thorne Forrester (Winsor Harmon) is back in Los Angeles from Europe at his father’s behest. Eric (John McCook) is ready to throw a grand soiree so he can have yet another grand finale while he works on his second grand finale fashion collection. After all, he thinks the first one went well, so why not design again while he can?

Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones) is also back on our screens, although she lives in LA. We just never see her because she is always busy working at the hospital. Since Bridget is a doctor, one would think Donna or a Forrester would have suggested she look over her dad’s medical records.

Perhaps that is what Bridget will decide to do now that she and Thorne are set to learn that Eric is dying — or at least was given a fatal diagnosis by one young doctor without seeking a second opinion. Thorne and Bridget are stunned, of course. They want to make Eric’s last days his best days, but maybe Bridget will ask if her father’s disease happens to have a name.

Eric Is Ready To Party

Eric still has absolutely no idea that everyone in his family knows he is dying. He still thinks only two Logan sisters plus RJ (Joshua Hoffman) are aware, but it doesn’t occur to Eric that RJ might have a big mouth and blabbed about his illness to Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). And we all know what happens when Brooke learns something. She has to tell Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) immediately.

Still, Eric begins his grand soiree hiding his illness and the toll it’s taking on his body as he gives a grand toast as part of this grand finale he can’t stop talking about. Does he toast himself or the people around him? He is so keen on celebrating his own life that he seems to forget that he has a family who may want to know a truth they are already aware of.
