The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers for for December 8, 2023, promise a big reveal, a dramatic speech, and more.
Ridge’s Big Lie
Is there anyone who is not lying and putting on a show at Eric’s (John McCook) grand soiree, the third installment of his grand finale? Everyone there knows Eric is dying but Eric thinks only Katie, Donna (Jennifer Gareis), RJ (Joshua Hoffman), and Luna (Lisa Yanmda) know. It doesn’t occur to him at all that his guests look like they are about to burst into tears.
Several Forresters and Logans are also lying about who won the fashion challenge, a fib Ridge told on the spot without much forethought. However, Donna is about to overhear Ridge talking about being the real winner and she won’t be happy.
While a part of her will be touched that Ridge allowed Eric to believe he won to make his last days better, she also knows this lie could blow up in everyone’s faces. While Eric needs to know the truth, they are not sure what the harm is in letting a dying man think he is going out at the top of his game.
Eric’s Big Speech
Of course, Eric remains oblivious to all of this. As he coughs, gasps for air, and grabs an oxygen mask when nobody is looking, he also prepares to make a final grand speech for his grand finale at the grand soiree. Eric has a lot to say to everyone.
There isn’t a dry eye in the Forrester house (they couldn’t have rented a ballroom for this?) as Eric waxes nostalgic and shows his love for the people who have always been there for him, minus the four kids who couldn’t make it to his party. At least Thorne (Winsor Harmon) and Bridget (Ashley Jones) made their way back to LA for the occasion.
Eric also has doctors in the family and one of them is hard at work reviewing his case. Will Bridget also become curious as to what is going on with her father and look at his medical records, as well? Together, can Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Bridget save Eric?
