Ever since the announcement was made last December, Days of our Lives fans have been chomping at the bit to learn when new hire AnnaLynne McCord would make her first appearance and who she’d be playing.
AnnaLynne McCord COMING To DAYS
According to Soaps.sheknows, the actress will debut on the NBC sudser next week — Wednesday, June 19 (2024) to be exact — just as Chad (Billy Flynn) and Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) are poised to make a shocking discovery. Hmmmmm….
McCord’s boarding DAYS is most fortuitous, seeing as how she first auditioned for casting director Marnie Saitta some 18 years ago when she herself was 18.
With the back-to-back upheavals that were the Writers’ and Actors’ Strikes, McCord confessed to the outlet that, “To be frank, it was very ambiguous in the beginning [as to who I was playing]. Obviously, there was a writer transition and everything that was going on within the industry politically so to speak. So when I initially came on, no one really knew who I was gonna be. We were figuring it out as we went.”
Way back when, McCord’s character was designated “Marin” and described thusly: “fascinating and complicated…devastatingly beautiful, almost angelic in her outward appearance. The desire of many, but her heart belongs to only one man who continues to push her away for her own good.”
Of course, many a fan speculated that “Marin” was merely Abigail Deveraux DiMera by another name.
Teases McCord: “What fans who are clearly very clever will come to figure out very early on is that a certain gentleman who is not quite so gentle by the name of Clyde Weston has his fingers in the storyline of my character. So I enter day one as ‘Mystery Woman.’”
