What better way for Days of our Lives to mark sixty years of daytime greatness than to bring back the characters fans miss the most? The show already announced the soon-to-be arrivals of major players such as Kristian Alfonso (Hope), Peter Reckell (Bo), Melissa Reeves (Jennifer), and Alison Sweeney (Sami). Now they’re adding more names to the docket.

Major Days of our Lives Comebacks

According to TV Insider, Leann Hunley (Anna), Thaao Penghlis (Tony), Chandler Massy (Will), Charles Shaughnessy (Shane), and Christie Clark (Carrie) will also come home in 2025. The group will soon begin taping for scenes set to air next June.

This is all great news for fans and gives everyone a reason to celebrate. But, we have to wonder why everyone is returning at once. We know we’ll see many (many, many) familiar faces starting next month as the show prepares to bid farewell to Bill Hayes and his beloved character Doug Williams. With the death of Drake Hogestyn last week, we have to wonder if the show is preparing its final farewell to his John Black.
