The hits just keep coming for Days of our Lives’ Jada Hunter. First, her ne’er-do-well ex pops back up claiming amnesia straining her friendship with Stephanie Johnson (the unwitting other woman who destroyed Jada’s marriage). Then comes word that she and Robert AKA Everett are still very much married. Off-screen, actress Elia Cantu is navigating a hardship of her own, namely, the loss of her beloved four-legged companion, Danny.

Elia Cantu Bids Danny Goodbye

“This pain is unreal. I’m still trying to process it all,” began Cantu on Instagram. “Danny got his angel wings & took his trip to Heaven on 4/4/24. I love and miss you so much Danny! This moment at the beach last week together will forever be one of my cherished memories. It was a beautiful day. Thank you for 12 years of unconditional love! The grief is coming in [waves].”

Costars Linsey Godfrey (Sarah Horton) and Sal Stowers (Lani Price Grant) were among the many to reach out to the actress with condolences and commiserations. The former wrote, “Sending you love. I’m so sorry Elia,” while the latter penned, “Im so sorry Elia. Sending you so much love. Big big hug.”
