This week’s Days of our Lives recap for the week of June 17th featured three huge returns, a wild discovery, teens acting up, and so much more!
Days of our Lives Recap
Monday, June 17th
Brady (Eric Martsolf) cleaned up after the wedding…and picked up the pieces of his heart. It was rough being in the Kiriakis mansion knowing Theresa (Emily O’Brien) was in Alex’s (Robert Scott Wilson) bed. Adding insult to injury is Tate () putting the pieces together. As for Theresa, she did all she could to cover her tracks after the Konstantin fiasco. Later, Alex and Brady made peace while Tate and Holly planned their prom night.
Paulina (Jackée Harry) was hurt by the opt-ed in the paper and Abe (James Reynolds) did his best to soothe her ego. Unfortunately, that frown didn’t quite turn upside down since she’d soon be saying goodbye to Chanel (Raven Bowens) — on her and Abe’s wedding anniversary, and Juneteenth, no less.
Eric (Greg Vaughan) connected with Nicole (Arianne Zucker) when he got to the office to find her and Jude there. They decided now would be a good time to put that notice in the paper for Sloan so Eric could move forward with the divorce. Meanwhile, EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) quickly learned his secret wasn’t safe. Stefan (Brandon Barash) knew all and used it to blackmail his brother.
Tuesday, June 18th
Alex had another session with Marlena (Deidre Hall) to examine his dreams…and his love life. At the same time, Theresa’s loud mouth nearly got her caught by Bonnie (Judi Evans), but she managed to cover her tracks. Later, Theresa ran into Leo (Greg Rikaart) who wanted an exclusive scoop on all things The Kon. Afterward, she and Lex met for coffee and exchanged “I love you’s.”
Back at the mansion, Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) struggled with the aftermath of her wedding day fiasco and Konstantin’s death. She was relieved to hear he was dead and it was her fave pal Xander who took him out. Downstairs, Sarah and Bonnie hit a roadblock in their mission to find Xander’s mother. Speaking of moms, Leo called Statesville to see if he could visit his!
It was a huge day at the Horton house when Jack (Matthew Ashford) showed up! He wanted to be there for the anniversary of his daughter’s death. Except he got the shock when Thomas spilled the truth. Chad and Julie scrambled to cover and distract Jack before they headed to Chicago.
Wednesday, June 19th
It was a day of immense joy…and a bit of sorrow for Paulina. She and Abe set up a party to celebrate their anniversary and to say farewell to Chanel (Raven Bowens) and Johnny (Carson Boatman). Their day got better when Eli (Lamon Archey) and the kids showed up. And, Lani (Sal Stowers), too…but only after a chit-chat with her little sister.
Before heading over, Johnny checked in with his own family. He found Stefan and EJ squabbling and interrupted to inform his dad he was moving to Los Angeles. EJ accompanied him to Paulina’s for the festivities which ended with him reclaiming the D.A. job. Great…now he can help Stefan free Gabi!
Speaking of Stefan, he ran into Jada (Elia Cantu) who presented a grand plan to get Clyde to talk without cutting him a deal. Was Stefan open to pretending to play drug lord? Sorry, but no. Stefan doesn’t trust the cops. Just look at what happened last time!
Meanwhile, in Chicago, Chad and Julie schmoozed with the bank manager who eventually let them into the safety deposit box…which was resisted to Officer Goldman. Inside, there was a USB drive with footage of a barren room with a blonde woman inside. Could it be Abigail? The pair ran back to Salem to investigate…and Julie was treated to a visit from Eli.
Thursday, June 20th
A trip to the hospital to check Jude’s fever led to Nicole meeting Dr. Greene…which led to Dr. Greene sharing he’s Aaron’s brother…which led to Nicole giving Holly the okay to go to Prom. Great, right? Not so much. It put a damper on her and Tate’s grand plans. Don’t worry, Theresa and Brady already figured out their son was up to something and vowed to keep a close eye on their kid.
Stefan wasn’t letting EJ’s secret go to waste. He demanded EJ free Gabi, or else! Oh, and he only has to be done TOMORROW. Sure, it’s a tall order but EJ wouldn’t want word getting out Jude is really Eric’s son, right?
Also on this episode of Days of our Lives, Eric dropped in to see Marlena, who then questioned him about Nicole. He assured his mom he was over her. Besides, he’s concentrating on divorcing Sloan right now.
Friday, June 21st
Days of our Lives ended the week with Prom kicking into high gear but the teens had no interest in being there. Tate faked a headache and left…followed shortly after by Holly. They ran off to the Salem Inn thinking they were in the clear. They were not! Brady and Theresa tracked them down and busted them red-handed.
Leo got a lovely eyeful of a shirtless Alex and was quite pleased with the site. Unfortunately, he was a bit distracted with plans to see his mom. Alex understood. He has a complicated parent too (Victor…except, no he doesn’t, he just doesn’t know that yet). Afterward, Alex went home to tell Justin he was in love with Theresa. Justin tried to warn him away which was met with a swift “You’re not my father” (except yes he is, Alex just doesn’t know that yet).
Steve and Ava each decided to confess to breaking Clyde out of prison. Steve was so serious about it he told Justin and Kayla. Neither was happy about it. Ava confessed to Roman who was shocked. Later, Ava went to her room and Harris surprised her by showing up.
