Today’s Days of Our Lives recap for December 15, 2023, details the logical consequences of Sloan’s stupidest move yet.
A Fresh New Morning
Nicole (Arianne Zucker) woke ready for a fresh new day outdoors. She dressed for a workout and told EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) she was going for a walk around the lake. After spreading their ‘son’s’ ashes right outside their front door the night before, Nicole felt more at peace and thought this was a good time to start anew.
Leo (Greg Rikaart) woke up on a park bench because he had no money and nowhere to go. He had been dreaming of getting back at Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) and was ready to put some sort of plan into action to make her whole world come crashing down.
Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Sloan learned that having a newborn means you don’t get to sleep. Both were exhausted after Jude was up crying all night and continued to cry in the morning. Maybe he just missed his real mother. Somehow, Sloan woke for the day fully dressed in a hot little red satin number, so she put the baby in the stroller to go for a walk.
While in Horton Square, Leo called and distracted Sloan. He knew she had something to do with Dimitri being sent to a maximum security prison and demanded that she get him sent back to Salem and Stateville immediately. If she didn’t do what he said, he’d tell the truth about the baby she ‘adopted’.
Sloan Is Dumb As A Rock
After Sloan hung up, she realized she didn’t have her wallet, so she left the stroller unattended in the Square and ran back into Sweet Bits to get it because she was clearly a complete and utter idiot. As expected, someone walked right up and walked off the with stroller and baby.
Eric was finally asleep when he got Sloan’s frantic call telling him the baby was gone. She cried that someone stole her baby boy, completely missing the irony that she stole the kid first. Eric rushed to Horton Square to find Rafe (Galen Gering) questioning Sloan.
At least when Harris (Steve Burton) asked if Sloan knew anyone who would have taken the baby, Sloan said no. Too bad Eric was ready to throw Nicole under the bus. He took Rafe aside and immediately told him he suspected their mutual ex-wife.
At the Salem PD, Sloan wept as Leo strolled in with a stroller. He found it outside The Brady Pub, but it didn’t contain a baby. He made some veiled threats that only Sloan understood while talking about the precious little boy he helped deliver. She was sure Leo had taken the baby, so she resolved herself to tell the truth.
EJ was surprised when Rafe showed up to question Nicole. EJ refused to believe that Nicole had anything to do with this kidnapping. After Rafe left, EJ went right down to the tunnels and found Nicole holding her baby.
Stephanie’s Big Hangover
Stephanie (Abigail Klein) is stunned when she wakes up in bed with Harris wearing one of his t-shirts as a hungover Harris is asking himself what he’d done. (Uh-oh.) Before Stephanie could ask too many questions, Harris ran out after learning a baby had been kidnapped.
When Stephanie later took a walk through the park, she ran into Tripp (Lucas Adams) and he knew she had a hangover. However, she didn’t want to talk about the night before. Instead, she told her brother all about her problems with Everett (Blake Berris) and Chad (Billy Flynn).
Tripp tried to give his sister some good advice, but he wasn’t sure what to tell her about Chad’s kids. She was worried for them because they were attached to her, but she couldn’t see being in a relationship with Chad anymore. Tripp only wanted Stephanie to do what she felt was right for herself.
