Today’s Days of Our Lives recap for November 24, 2023, details Sloan fooling a foolish Eric, Nicole getting more bad news, plus shocks for Leo and Ava.
Nicole’s Heartache Goes On
EJ (Daniel Fe tried to make the best of the holiday with Nicole and brought her a turkey dinner in the hospital. He also brought her hospital bag with him, which she packed for giving birth. She thought it had all the baby’s coming home items in it, but EJ had removed them. Knowing that only made the situation worse for Nicole.
Soon Melinda’s dirty doctor walked in with some fake news. The baby ‘died’ from injuries sustained in a car accident. Nicole didn’t understand how that could happen when her baby seemed perfectly healthy when she held him. She finally had one last request — she wanted to see her baby before she was released from the hospital.
That request threw the doctor into a panic so he ran straight to Melinda for a solution. Amazingly, her twisted and devious mind came up with one leading the doctor to tell a devastated EJ and Nicole that their baby was accidentally cremated.
Sloan Is Afraid Of Eric’s Baby
Earlier, Melinda (Tina Huang) did her best to calm Sloan (Jessica Serfaty), who understandably was terrified that something would go terribly wrong with their insane plan to pass Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker) baby off as the one she and Eric (Greg Vaughan) were adopting. While things were going smoothly now, Sloan worried that the baby might look like Eric or Nicole as he grew, which was a valid concern.
When Eric returned home, she informed him that their baby would be there any minute, and she was right. Melinda soon arrived with Nicole’s child and Eric thought of him as his own immediately. In fact, the baby didn’t stop crying until Eric held him and told him he was his daddy. As soon as he handed the boy back to a petrified Sloan, the infant started crying again.
At the PCPD, Harris (Steve Burton) was the one who had to break the news to Leo (Greg Rikaart) that he was being charged with the murder of Nicole’s baby. It didn’t matter that Dimitri (Peter Porte) was driving the car and neither one of them meant to hurt Nicole and the both helped her as soon as they saw an injured pregnant woman.
Leo was devastated to learn that the little boy he delivered allegedly died but also insisted he wasn’t driving the car and had nothing to do with the crash. In fact, he was asking Dimitri to drive more carefully. Leo didn’t understand why there was even a delay in medical treatment, but Harris pointed out that they needed to ask Dimitri that, and he was now MIA.
Leo quickly put in a call to his lawyer, Sloan, but she was preoccupied with stealing the baby Leo was accused of killing. When Eric left to take the baby for a walk, Dimitri suddenly appeared at her door.
Things went from bad to worse for Sloan and she didn’t even know it. When Eric stopped by the Pub he ran into Nicole outside after being released from the hospital. As EJ waited inside for takeout, Nicole asked Eric if she could hold his new baby.
Ava’s Surprising Day
Ava was happy to get a Thanksgiving voicemail from Harris, thankful that she didn’t spend the holiday in police custody. However, her joy turned to panic when he ended the message asking if she’d seen his work keys. Things went from bad to worse when Stefan soon showed up at her door with some news.
Stefan was going to be her new business partner, as per Clyde’s orders. Both of them realized they were reluctant associates now because Clyde would hurt their loved ones if they didn’t cooperate. His first assignment was to make a copy of Harris’s keys so she could discreetly return them.
Too bad Harris was at the door when Stefan tried to leave and had some questions. Stefan quickly came up with an excuse for his presence and explained he was there to see Wendy, once again insisting that Gabi didn’t kill Li. After Stefan left, Ava thanked Harris for getting her out of lock-up and sadly told him she had no idea where his keys were.
The pair then shared a kiss because they were thankful for finding one another in 2023.
