Days of Our Lives spoilers for December 21, 2023, promise angst at the hospital and in the DiMera mansion — and merriment at The Brady Pub.

Paulina’s Rushed To The Hospital

Chanel (Raven Bowens) can’t take watching her mother’s health deteriorate anymore, so she finally gets Paulina (Jackee Harry) to the hospital to get checked out. Paulina knows there’s something wrong with her but was just hoping to get through the holidays with Abe (James Reynolds).

Will the doctors find out what’s wrong with Paulina? Will this incident bring Abe running to her side, remembering their brief life together? It’s time his amnesia story ends, so maybe this is the catalyst for a Salem Christmas miracle.

While Chanel Is Away…

Over at the DiMera mansion, Holly (Ashley Puzemis) is once more left on her own while Nicole (Arianne Zucker) grieves her baby, EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) tries to help Nicole, and everyone seems to forget she exists. On top of that, it’s Holly’s birthday and she is spending it alone. Feeling down, she eyes some alcohol, but at least Johnny (Carson Boatman) comes along.

He feels bad for his little stepsister and offers to spend her birthday with her. It’s just what Holly needs, but as usual, she gets the mistaken idea that Johnny thinks of her as more than a friend. Will she get a stark reminder when Chanel calls to tell Johnny about her mother? Will he run to Chanel’s side, leaving poor Holly alone again?

It’s Been Quite A Back-From-The-Dead Year

At this time last year, it looked like Marlena (Deidre Hall), Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), and Kate (Lauren Koslow) weren’t long for this world. The orchid was missing and the ladies were dying. In fact, they were thought to be dead for months until a miracle happened on a faraway island.

Now, all three women have resumed their everyday lives and are with their husbands, grateful for another year around the soap opera sun. John (Drake , Steve, and Roman sit down with the women they love at The Brady Pub and share memories of good times and bad together. Will we see more wonderful flashbacks to remind us why these pairs have stood the test of time?
