With an ailing Paulina fading fast, it only makes sense that her beloved daughter and son-in-law would swoop in to offer her their unconditional love and support — and the fact that actors Lamon Archey and Sal Stowers are sights for sore eyes doesn’t hurt matters.

Lamon Archey On Being Back In Salem

In an exclusive chat with Soap Opera Digest, Archey enthuses that he and Stowers were thrilled to be reunited once again. “So much has gone on in our lives in between [previous DAYS stints]. We were probably even talking in between scenes, when we shouldn’t have been!”

As always, Eli will prove to be the rock that gets his missus through the tough times. “Anything Eli can do to help Lani through this process, of course he’s going to do without a doubt,” assures Archey.

Despite the emotions wrung from upcoming scenes, Archey couldn’t help but admit he had a blast reconnecting with his former cohorts. He said, “I hadn’t seen Jim [Reynolds, Abe Carver] in a long time, so it was absolutely great to catch up with him. And Jackée [Paulina Price Carver] is always fun to be around. She’s always cracking jokes. So, it was definitely a good time to be around everyone, including Raven [Bowens, Chanel Dupree DiMera] and Carson [Boatman, Johnny DiMera]. It was definitely a good time. As far as Eli, again, things are pretty heavy. But at the same time, it’s good to see the people that he hasn’t seen in a while and be around family.”

And while there’s always hope that Paulina will pull and live to fight (and boss) another day, Archey cautions that, “things can happen….”
