Jacob Young [ex-Rick Forrester, The Bold and the Beautiful; ex-J.R. Chandler, All My Children et al.] is set to co-helm and appear in a murder mystery film starring Dame Joan Collins of Dynasty fame.

“It’s very Agatha Christie, sort of Knives Out without having a hundred million dollars to shoot it, but still will be a lovely film nonetheless,” said Young of Murder Between Friends during an exclusive chat with Michael Fairman.

The film’s plot will concern a legendary TV star (played by Collins, natch) forced to suss out an assassin.

Nadia Bjorlin [ex-Chloe Lane, Days of our Lives], Toby-Alexander Smith [ex-Gray Atkins, Eastenders], Jim Borstelmann, Espen Hatleskog, and Czech actress Hana Vagnerová round out the cast.

Per Young, production is slated to begin April 1 (at a castle in Prague no less!) and principal photography is to wrap by April 17. Former AMCer Trent Garrett [ex-Asher Pike] has been tapped to co-direct the feature. The script hails from Mark Rozzano.
