DOOL Shocker! Dante Vitali Debuts, EJ DiMera Reunites with Sydney, and Lani Price Grant Faces a Pivotal Decision!
Hold onto your hats, fellow Salemites! Another week of Days of Our Lives is upon us, and the spoilers for the week of September 14, 2026, are dropping like bombshells! From a brand-new face shaking things up to a long-awaited family reunion that’s bound to bring tears (and probably some new drama), plus a beloved character at a crossroads, this is one week you absolutely cannot miss. As a fan who’s been watching since day one, let me tell you, this feels like classic Days!
A New Player in Salem: Welcome, Dante Vitali!
First up on our must-know list: the highly anticipated debut of Dante Vitali, portrayed by the talented Franco Lo Pesti! A new character stepping into Salem always sends shivers down my spine – will he be a hero, a villain, or something in between? The name “Vitali” itself carries a certain weight, doesn’t it? While we’ve seen various mob elements come and go in Salem, from the Temekovs to the more recent Kiriakis-DiMera power struggles, a fresh face often means a fresh wave of intrigue. Will Dante be connected to any existing families? Could he be a rival for the DiMeras or Kiriakises? Or perhaps he’s a long-lost relative of a character we thought we knew?
My gut tells me Dante isn’t just arriving to enjoy a latte at the Brady Pub. Salem is a town built on secrets, power, and passion, and someone with a name like Vitali often means business. Will he be a love interest for a lonely Salemite? A new threat to the town’s peace? Or perhaps a catalyst that unearths old secrets? I’m already envisioning him crossing paths with the likes of Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) or even Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) – a power couple always needs a new adversary, right? Or could he be someone who tests the relatively calm waters of Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and Sloan Petersen Brady (Jessica Serfaty)? The possibilities are endless, and that’s why we love Days!
The Heartwarming & Heart-Wrenching Reunion of EJ and Sydney DiMera!
Now, this is the news that has my veteran fan heart absolutely soaring! Spoilers confirm that Sydney DiMera, played by the lovely Sydney Malekah, is reuniting with her father, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). Oh, the history these two share! True fans will remember Sydney’s incredibly tumultuous childhood. Born to Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) and EJ, her early years were a nightmare. She was famously kidnapped by the infamous Nurse Grace, who was actually a look-alike hired by Sami’s own mother, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), during a period of mental instability! Later, she was kidnapped AGAIN, this time by Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) himself, in one of his many schemes to control the DiMera dynasty. The poor child has been through enough to last a lifetime!
And let’s not forget EJ’s own journey. He’s “died” more times than a cat has lives, only to return, often scarred but always with his signature DiMera intensity. The pain EJ felt believing Sydney was gone, or held captive, has always been a raw wound for him. To see them finally, truly reunite as father and daughter after all these years of separation and trauma… it’s the stuff soap opera dreams are made of! This reunion is bound to be incredibly emotional. How will it impact EJ’s current life with Nicole Walker DiMera (Arianne Zucker)? Will Sydney’s presence bring them closer, or will it stir up old feelings and create new tensions, especially given Nicole’s own complex history with Sami and the DiMera family? And what about Sami herself? Will she make a surprise return to Salem to see her daughter reunited with her father? My money is on YES!
Lani Price Grant’s Crossroads: A Future Unwritten
Last, but certainly not least, our beloved Lani Price Grant (Sal Stowers) will be making a crucial decision about her future. Lani has come such a long way since she first arrived in Salem, a dedicated police officer who discovered she was the daughter of the esteemed Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and the vibrant Paulina Price (Jackée Harry). She’s faced professional challenges, heartbreaking personal losses, and even served time in prison for defending her family. Through it all, she’s emerged as a strong, resilient woman and a devoted mother to her twins, Jules and Carver, with her husband Eli Grant.
So, what exactly is this pivotal decision she’s facing? Is it a career move? Perhaps she’s being offered a new opportunity outside of Salem, or maybe a chance to step back into law enforcement, or even politics like her father? Could it be about her relationship with Eli, or a desire to move back to Salem permanently, closer to her parents? With Paulina as the current Mayor of Salem, and Abe always a guiding force, Lani has a strong support system. Whatever the decision, we know it will be thoughtfully considered and have significant implications for her, Eli, and their beautiful family. Could this mean Sal Stowers will have a more permanent presence back in Salem? A fan can dream, right?
The Week Ahead: Shifting Dynamics and Emotional Payoffs
This week’s spoilers promise a potent mix of fresh blood, emotional reunions, and life-altering decisions. Dante Vitali’s arrival could mean new rivalries, new romances, or even a deep dive into Salem’s shadowy underworld. The EJ and Sydney reunion is a long-overdue payoff for loyal viewers, reminding us of the enduring power of family, even in the most dysfunctional of soap opera settings. And Lani’s choice will undoubtedly shape her path for years to come. It’s a testament to the masterful storytelling of Days of Our Lives that, after all these decades, it still keeps us on the edge of our seats, eagerly awaiting the next twist.
