Get Ready, Salem! Tuesday, October 13th is Going to Be EXPLOSIVE on Days of Our Lives!
Oh, my fellow Salemites, gather ’round! Your resident Days of Our Lives super-fan and long-time journalist here, practically vibrating with excitement for what Tuesday, October 13th, is bringing to our screens. The latest spoilers are out, and trust me, they promise a day packed with desperation, interrogation, and a blindside that will leave one of our favorite DiMeras reeling. If you thought Salem was simmering, prepare for a full-blown boil!
First up, we’re hearing whispers of an unprecedented alliance (or perhaps, a desperate pact?) as two Kiriakis men, Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson), make a final, desperate attempt to save their legacy. Then, the mysterious Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) finds herself under the microscope, facing intense questioning. And as if that wasn’t enough, our dear Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) is about to get blindsided, while EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) faces a confrontation that’s been a long time coming. Grab your popcorn, because this is NOT an episode you’ll want to miss!
Xander & Philip: A Kiriakis Alliance Born of Desperation?
Can you believe it, folks? Xander and Philip – two men whose history is practically written in competitive rivalry and stolen girlfriends – are apparently joining forces for a "final attempt to save their legacy." My heart practically stopped when I read that! For decades, these two have been at odds, vying for Victor Kiriakis’s approval, battling for control of Titan, and even for the affection of women like Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) and Belle Black Brady (Martha Madison). We all remember Philip faking his death to frame Brady (Eric Martsolf), and Xander’s long, winding road from villain to (mostly) reformed hero, all under the shadow of Victor’s demanding expectations.
What "legacy" could be so dire that it forces these two sworn frenemies to work together? Is it Titan itself, facing an external threat from a rival corporation (looking at you, DiMera Enterprises)? Or perhaps it’s a more personal legacy, something tied to Victor’s memory that they both feel compelled to protect. Could it be related to Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and Xander’s attempts to prove himself worthy, or Philip trying to reclaim his standing after his past escapades? Whatever it is, for Xander and Philip to put aside their deep-seated animosity speaks volumes about the gravity of the situation. I’m predicting a high-stakes business play, perhaps against a common enemy like EJ, or even a mysterious new player in Salem’s corporate jungle. This could be the start of a fascinating new chapter for both characters, forcing them to confront their past and maybe even find a grudging respect for each other.
Cat Greene Questioned: Who Is Salem’s New Mystery Woman?
Then we have the intriguing case of Cat Greene, played by the talented AnnaLynne McCord, who is set to be questioned. Cat is a relatively new face in Salem, and already she’s stirring up trouble! We’ve seen her around, often with a mysterious air, and now it seems someone is finally digging into her past or her current activities. Who is doing the questioning? Is it the Salem PD, perhaps Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) or Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu)? Or is it someone else with a vested interest, like a suspicious Brady Black, a scheming Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), or even a curious Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers)?
Given AnnaLynne McCord’s impressive acting chops, I’m expecting Cat’s backstory to be complex and full of twists. Is she a long-lost relative? A con artist with a hidden agenda? Or perhaps she’s caught in the crosshairs of someone else’s scheme? My gut tells me she’s connected to a larger, more intricate storyline that’s slowly unfolding. Her being questioned implies she either knows something crucial, or she’s directly involved in a Salem mystery. Could she be tied to the ongoing drama between Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan)? Or perhaps she has connections to someone like Theresa Donovan (Jen Lilley) or Konstantin Melekhin (Jordi Vilasuso)? The possibilities are endless, and I, for one, can’t wait to see what secrets Cat is hiding!
Chad’s Blindside & EJ’s Confrontation: DiMera Drama Reignites!
And now, for the DiMera drama that always keeps us on the edge of our seats! Spoilers reveal that Chad DiMera will be hit with a major blindside, while his scheming step-brother, EJ DiMera, faces a direct confrontation. These two events feel intrinsically linked, don’t they?
Chad has been through so much, especially after the tragic loss of his beloved Abigail (Marci Miller). He’s tried to navigate the treacherous waters of DiMera Enterprises, often clashing with EJ, whose lust for power knows no bounds. EJ, the son of the legendary Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo), has always been a master manipulator, and his recent attempts to solidify his control over DiMera Enterprises and his turbulent relationship with Nicole Walker DiMera (Arianne Zucker) have made him a prime target for confrontation. Who would dare confront the formidable EJ? Could it be Chad himself, finally pushing back against his brother’s machinations? Or perhaps it’s Nicole, fed up with his schemes, or even someone from his past like Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) making a surprise return?
As for Chad’s blindside, my money is on EJ being behind it. EJ loves to catch his rivals off guard, and Chad has often been a pawn in his power games. Could it be a professional betrayal at DiMera Enterprises, costing Chad a major deal or his position? Or perhaps it’s something more personal, related to his children or even a past secret resurfacing. Chad has always tried to do the right thing, often to his own detriment when dealing with the likes of EJ. This blindside could push Chad to his breaking point, forcing him to embrace his inner DiMera ruthlessness to fight back. Oh, the possibilities for a renewed Chad vs. EJ rivalry! It’s what Salem is made of!
