It was a huge day for Robert Scorpio and Holly Sutton on General Hospital. He broke up with Diane (well, she dumped him, to be exact) while Holly wrote a Dear John letter to leave behind. In the end, fans got the dream reunion everyone has been waiting to watch!
Robert Scorpio & Holly Sutton Forever?
This day ended in a bittersweet way for Robert and Holly fans. She ran off to the airstrip to catch a flight out of the country and was shocked to see Robert there waiting for her. And, not to say goodbye. Instead, he decided a life with her was far more important than the life he’s spent decades building in Port Charles. He hopped at the chance to take off with her and rekindle their flame.
While this is all terribly romantic and enough to make even the coldest of hearts melt, we do have to wonder if Robert is making the right choice. Yes, he’s getting the love of his life back, but at what cost? Is it really a good idea for the town’s top cop to take off with a criminal?
Outside of Holly being the messiest of the messy, was it a good choice for both Robert and Holly to abandon Sasha (Sofia Mattsson)? She may be used to her mother running off and leaving her in the dust, but we’re sure Sasha had more hope for her newfound pop.
Dangerous General Hospital Twists?
We can only hope that this won’t end badly for Robert. He and Holly are surely in for a great adventure full of twists, turns, and a whole lot of villains. In his heyday, Robert could take on all the baddies at once with his bare hands, but can he still hold his own like he once did? Will he have to compromise his morals to keep himself and Holly safe?
Robert promised Holly this would be a round trip and he fully intends on coming back to PC one day. All we can do now is hope and pray he makes it back safe and sound.
