Kimberly McCullough may have scored one of the most plumb roles in General Hospital at a mere seven years of age, but work on the ABC sudser wasn’t the be-all and end-all as far as she was concerned.

“I’m often asked what it was like “growing up on television”. Although General Hospital was a big part of my life as I grew up, it wasn’t the most important part of my life,” relayed the actress on Instagram.
“My focus was on whoever I was crushing on at the time and what me and my friends were going to do that weekend. Riding our bikes through the neighborhood, late night chats on the phone and long bus rides to the beach… that’s where I grew up. Been so nice to connect with old friends this summer and be proud of how much we’ve all grown. Love you Toni and Pam.”
