The role of Jack Brennan is now being played by Chris McKenna — a fact that probably took many a General Hospital fan by surprise. But leading lady Laura Wright (Carly Spencer) is leading the charge in making the daytime hopper feel right at home…and she’s hoping to get displeased fans onboard.

The actress recently took to X to express “Big love to Charles,” to offer “a Big Welcome” to his successor, and extend, “a Big hug to all the fans – we love you so much and we are so grateful for you all !!!!!”

Wright was quick to agree with a fan who expressed enthusiasm at McKeena’s take on the suave spy, gushing: “He’s a keeper!” and equally quick to detail that “It was Charles’ choice to leave,” and “We were all sad to see Charles leave – we all adored him! And we wish him so much love. We are so grateful and excited that Chris is part of the GH family!”
