The General Hospital recap for the week of August 12th, 2024 features an arrest, bad news all around, and more.

Monday, August 12th

Carly (Laura Wright) was flummoxed to learn that Brennan (Charles Measure) had checked into the Metro Court. Anna (Finola Hughes) interrupted the pair to question Brennan’s promotion to head of the WSB’s Port Charles-based office.

Nina (Cynthia Watros) informed Maxie (Kirsten Storms) that she intends to use her feminine wiles on Drew (Cameron Mathison) to keep his mind off Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), then proceeds to do exactly that…. A visit with Kristina (Kate Mansi) convinced Willow to return to nursing…. Rather than join TJ (Tajh Bellow) in mourning their baby or making arrangements for her funeral, Molly (Kristen Vaganos) resolved to make Ava (Maura Wright) pay.

Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) announced to Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) that she’s been offered the opportunity to serve as the opening act for Miguel Morez’s tour; Blaze turned the offer down…. Natalia (Eva LaRue) implored Kristina to push Blaze into accepting the gig and Kristina complied.

Tuesday, August 13th

A despondent Kristina encouraged Blaze to accept the offer from Morez then broke up with her. Blaze severed all ties with Natalia…. Ann put Brennan on notice…. Carly (Laura Wright) lambasted John (Adam J. Harrington) and Ava…. Carly and Brennan spend the evening together; he charms her by insisting he’s sticking around PC because of her.

Tracy (Jane Elliot) regaled Violet (Jophielle Love) with stories about Lila, the Quartermaines, and Annabelle the Second…. John confided in Ava that he intends to use the corrupt pharmacist to bait Sonny (Maurice Benard)…. Anna warned Sonny against retaliating against Ava…. While comforting Kristina, Molly took notice of the surveillance photos showing her sister up in Ava’s face.

Wednesday, August 14th

Distraught over not being able to visit with Cody (Josh Kelly), James (Gary James Fuller) does a runner during a family outing to the park…. Willow told Michael (Chad Duell) about her decision to return to nursing. Later, she explained the situation to Drew in more detail — she can’t stop thinking about the kiss that they shared, or about him, so she’s putting some distance between them…. Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) fully committed herself to Cody.

Sonny filled Lois (Rena Sofer) in on the issues with his medication and once again assured her that any monies he gave to Brook Lynn would be clean…. Upon learning that Natalia plans to return to Puerto Rico, Sonny offered Brook Lynn a large cash injection for Deception on the proviso that Natalia be named the company’s CFO. Tracy balked at the very notion.

Thursday, August 15th

John and Scott (Kin Shriner) schemed to stach the pharmacist at Wyndemere despite Ava’s objections…. Sonny and Jason learned that said pharmacist was in John’s custody…. James overheard Willow and Drew discussing the kiss that they shared. Afterward, he tumbled into the pond reaching for his frisbee; Cody came to his rescue.

The Deception gang disagreed over whether to accept Sonny’s money and the stipulation that comes with it…. Sonny and Jason (Steve Burton) consider the possibility that John was the mastermind behind the tampered-with medication

Friday, August 16th

James was delighted to learn that Cody was his “real” uncle…. Mac (John J. York) and Cody achieved rapprochement…. Brick discovered Scott’s and the pharmacist’s location; Sonny ordered that they be brought to him…. The pharmacist confessed to Jason that it was Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) who first ordered him to lower the dosage of Sonny’s medication.

Molly and TJ remained at odds over how to best mourn their babe…. Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Sonny both converged at the hospital to take Kristina home. Sonny assured Kristina that justice would be served without his having Ava killed…. John had Kristina placed under arrest!

Brennan failed to make a positive first impression on Laura (Genie Francis)…. Laura received a call concerning Lulu…. TJ visited Ava and asked if Kristina’s fall was her own fault.
