The General Hospital recap for the week of July 29th features two lives hanging in the balance, justice failing to be served, and more.
General Hospital Recap
Monday, July 29th
Molly (Kristen Vaganos) informed TJ (Tajh Bellow) of Kristina’s (Kate Mansi) refusal to sign the papers to terminate her parental rights. TJ resolved to settle the matter of custody in a court of law while Kristina did much the same…. Carly (Laura Wright) beseeched Michael (Chad Duell) and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) to keep Donna away from Sonny (Maurice Benard) should she be convicted for her crime.
Ava (Maura West) told John (Adam J. Harrington) about Sonny’s tampered medication and warned him to tread lightly. John attempted to bait Sonny into taking a swing at him, but Michael stepped in to referee the pair…. Having warned Sonny that John was zeroing in on him, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) headed to GH where he learned that Brennan’s (Charles Mesure) medical records had been deleted.
Tuesday, July 30th
Alexis tried her best to reason with a flustered Kristina…. John further antagonized Sonny and then accused Molly of protecting the mobster. Molly countered that John had his own score to settle and was manipulating the system to accomplish his goal.
With the one piece of evidence no longer logged into the FBI’s computer system, the charges against Carly were dropped…. Sonny took offense that no one filled him on the goings-on.
Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) filled Maxie (Kirsten Storms) in on the leverage the FBI had on Jason (Steve Burton)…. Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) thanked Nina (Cynthia Watros) for appealing to Congressman McConkey on Carly’s behalf…. Anna (Finola Hughes) was horrified to discover that Brennan was back in the WSB’s employ.
Wednesday, July 31st
Carly was surprised to learn that it wasn’t Spinelli who deleted the incriminating recording…. John blasted Anna and accused her of impropriety…. Anna and Dante considered the possibility that it was Brennan who saved Carly’s bacon…. Molly and Kristina reconcile. Kristina is served with a subpoena requiring her to testify at Ava and Sonny’s upcoming custody trial.
Jason filled Sonny in on the true reason he toiled for the FBI. Sonny refused to reconcile with him and to cease targeting John…. John agreed to testify on Ava’s behalf…. Sonny tasked Brick (Stephen A. Smith) with snapping compromising pictures of Ava and John.
Thursday, August 1st
Sonny was devastated when Lois (Rena Sofer) questioned the legitimacy of the indie label he’s funding…. Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) leaped at the opportunity when it was offered by Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton)…. An apologetic Natalia (Eva LaRue) failed to make inroads with her daughter.
Trina (Tabyana Ali) was flummoxed by the sight of a half-dressed John in Ava’s suite…. Sam (Kelly Monaco) played devil’s advocate during a meal with an emotional Molly…. Jordan (Tanisha Harper) threw her all behind TJ…. TJ put Alexis on the spot..
Scott (Kin Shriner) took great delight in needling Sonny and Kristina…. Kristina confronted Ava over the subpoena. As the argument escalated, Kristina stumbled over John’s luggage, crashed through the nearby window, and landed in the pool several stories below.
Friday, August 2nd
Gio (Gio Mazza) and Josslyn jumped into action, rescuing Kristina from the pool and phoning for an ambulance…. Josslyn accompanied Kristina who momentarily regained consciousness and inquired about the baby…. Trina identified the room that Kristina tumbled from as Ava’s.
TJ labeled Alexis a coward for refusing to pick a side between Molly and Kristina. Both are horrified to see Kristina being wheeled into the E.R…. Ava rearranged the scene and insisted to Dante that Kristina’s fall was her own fault. Dante placed Ava under arrest…. Kristina was rushed to the O.R. for an emergency C-section.
