General Hospital spoilers for for January 12, 2024, promise some tense moments for Ava and Nikolas, and a shocking moment for Spencer.

A Nava Reunion?

Nikolas (Adam Huss) and Ava (Maura West) were already divorced and at odds when he threatened Avery and she hit him over the head with a gargoyle statue, but that doesn’t mean there’s still not something between them. Even Nikolas started playing on their latent feelings when he tried to recruit Ava in his plot to bring down Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl).

Now, they are due to share another charged moment as Ava updates Nikolas on Esme’s status. She’s behind bars where she belongs now, but is that all part of Ava and Nik’s plan? One also has to wonder if Ava noticed anything different about Esme. The young woman still claims amnesia, but did something in her demeanor make it clear that Esme indeed has her memories back? The girl sure has Laura (Genie Francis) fooled.

Spencer Gets A Big Surprise

Meanwhile, Nikolas’s son Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) is set to be stunned when he receives an unexpected visitor. Does Nikolas make his way to his mother’s place next and finally have a reunion? Or, does he get the news that Esme is now in jail and Baby Ace is moving back in?

If Spencer now has to take care of Ace again, that will put a damper on his plans to spend a few months in Paris with Trina (Tabyana Ali). As Spencer might have to grapple with that possibility, Curtis (Donnell Turner) encourages Trina to make the move and not worry about leaving her family.

Port Charles Odds And Ends

GH spoilers say that Dex (Evan Hofer) shows his brave side on Friday, but hasn’t he been doing that every time he’s on a mission for Sonny (Maurice Benard)? After all, Dex is in a very dangerous business as a mob enforcer.

And finally, Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) and Robert (Tristan Rogers) have a disagreement. Does her loyalty to Sonny cause more problems between this new couple? Robert has never liked Diane being a mob lawyer and thinks Sonny has corrupted his girlfriend.
