This week’s General Hospital recap for April 22 – 26, 2024, featured much complaining and handwringing, hard truths uttered, a concerning medical crisis, and so much more.

Monday, April 22

Nina (Cynthia Watros) blasted Ava (Maura West) for playing her like a fool and demanded to know how long Ava had been working to stake a claim to Sonny (Maurice Benard). Ava huffed that she understands Sonny in a way that Nina never will. In her fury, Nina signs the divorce papers and instructs her assistant to messenger her rings to Sonny.

Carly (Laura Wright) detailed why she so willingly accepted the Metro Court from Jason (Steve Burton) to Sonny. Sonny continued to harp about the plethora of betrayers in his midst…. Kristina (Kate Mansi) bemoaned Ava’s presence to Sam (Kelly Monaco)…. Jason marched Danny (Asher Jared Antonyzyn) back home. Jason and Sam struggled to co-parent…. Lois (Rena Sofer) helped Maxie (Kirsten Storms) out of a Deception-related jam.

Tuesday, April 23

Chase’s (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) respective bachelor and bachelorette parties got underway…. Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) rushed to aid the latter when it became apparent Lois forgot to book a DJ.

Dex (Evan Hofer) was highly hated at Chase’s shindig by all but Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and the man of the hour…. Jordan (Tanisha Harper) and Curtis (Donnell Turner) shared an awkward cross that Drew took notice of…. A soused Josslyn (Eden McCoy) told Kristina about Sonny’s ordering Dex to off Cyrus (Jeff Koper).

Wednesday, April 24

Sam griped to Dante about her worries over Jason and Danny…. Josslyn visited Jason to bemoan her hateful outburst at Kristina and her and Dex’s thwarted love story…. Kristina complained about Josslyn’s hateful outburst to Molly (Kristen Vaganos) who managed to keep mum about Anna’s (Finola Hughes) dossier on Sonny.

Anna encouraged Dex to follow through on his plans to attend the police academy and join the PCPD…. Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Jordan spent a most enjoyable evening together…. Gregory (Gregory Harrison) suffered a medical crisis prompting Chase and Brook Lynn to consider canceling the wedding. Gregory phoned Tracy (Jane Elliot) and together the two put paid to that.

Thursday, April 25

Trina (Tabyana Ali) offered to take Ace off Laura’s (Genie Francis) frazzled hands. Laura and Ava resolved to help Trina through her grief in any way they could. Laura picked up on Ava referring to Sonny’s abode as “home.”

Kristina and Carly touched base and found common ground in their distrust of Ava…. Drew and Carly shared a bittersweet cross…. Nina considered that she and Drew were made for each other and he granted that there were perhaps parts of him that spoke to her and vice versa.

Nina told Kristina that she was washing her hands of Sonny and warned her against going up against Ava. Brook Lynn offered Blaze a new perspective on keeping her sexuality a secret.

“Pregnancy Police” TJ bemoaned Kristina’s actions…. Jason tried and failed to dissuade Sonny from targeting Dex.

Friday, April 26

Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) fielded several job offers, and though she turned down a position at the Metro Court, she readily agreed to become the Quartermaines’ live-in cook…. Finn and Gregory argued over the hiring of a caregiver. Tracy gave Gregory food for thought on the issue.

Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) provided a listening ear to both Molly and Finn…. Nina and Carly found common ground in their concern over the influence Ava wielded over Sonny…. Laura implored Sonny to “do the right thing” for his daughter’s sake. Sonny bemoaned Laura turning on him too.
