All the Sad and Scandalous General Hospital Recaps for the Week of May 20th

This week’s General Hospital recap for the week of May 20th, featured a death, serious disillusionment, and so much more.

Monday, May 20

Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard) discussed the day’s goings-on…. Anna (Finola Hughes) confronted Brennan (Charles Mesure) and warned that she was wise to him and his deceitful ways.

Kristina (Kate Mansi) retreated from Sonny (Maurice Benard) and blubbered to Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) that she didn’t recognize that violent man as her father…. Carly (Laura Wright) assured Sonny that he and Kristina would achieve rapprochement…. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) saw to it that Dex (Evan Hofer) was attended to…. Finn (Michael Easton) and Gregory (Gregory Harrison) officially put the past behind them. Gregory passed away in his sleep.

Tuesday, May 21

Finn discovered Gregory; in his grief, he turned to drink. Later, he phoned Chase and informed him of Gregory’s death…. Sonny asked a disillusioned Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) to intercede on his behalf with Kristina…. Kristina summoned Michael (Chad Duell), filled him on the events of the night before, and asked him to “fix” matters…. Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) prepared for the latter’s hearing.

Wednesday, May 22

Finn told Violet about Gregory…. Alexis goes toe-to-toe with Fergus Byrne (Lane Davies), see what the actor had to say about returning to his old stomping grounds, here.)…. Liz (Rebecca Herbst) arrived to comfort Finn but took exception to his drinking.

Michael and Josslyn pressed Dex not to rat out Sonny…. Kristina thought better of her previous decision and told Dex that she’d testify against Sonny if he chose to turn him into the authorities…. Lois (Rena Sofer) readied the Quartermaine mansion for Gio’s (Giovanni Mazza) imminent arrival…. Brook Lynn and Chase returned from the airport…. After further excoriation from Dante, Sonny made his way back to the penthouse and poured out his sorrows to Ava (Maura West).

Thursday, May 23

Alexis learned that Ava was the one who set her disbarment into motion…. Ava played spoiler when Carly attempted to talk some sense into Sonny…. Carly gave Anna the runaround…. Liz and Finn argued bitterly and the former took flight — but not before alerting Chase to his brother’s plight…. Dex presented a “hypothetical” to Anna and concluded that he wouldn’t press charges against Sonny.

Friday, May 24

TJ (Tajh Bellow) and Molly (Kristen Vaganos) indulged in an afternoon date. The couple got on the same page when it came to Kristina…. Alexis gave her final summation. The review board announced that they would render a verdict in 30 days time.

Cody (Josh Kelly) broke the news of Gregory’s passing to Tracy (Jane Elliot). Tracy asked Stella (Vernee Watson) to anonymously arrange for her to attend to any issues that may arise as a result of Gregory’s passing…. Elizabeth confided Finn’s drinking to Portia (Brook Kerr), then worried she’d made a mistake.
