This week’s General Hospital recap for the week of May 6th, featured plenty of hurt feelings, a mother/daughter clash, stealth manipulation, and so much more.
Monday, May 6
Sonny (Maurice Benard) briefly considered having his blood drawn and medication levels tested before dismissing the idea entirely…. Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) and Natalia (Eva LaRue) shared crosswords over the latter’s helicopter parenting.
Sonny and Natalia crossed paths and Ava (Maura West) was left huffing when the two returned to the penthouse and she was asked to make herself scarce…. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) tendered resignation but Anna (Finola Hughes) seemingly talked him ‘round…. Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) bemoaned goings on to Diane (Carolyn Hennessy)…. Molly and Kristina (Kate Mansi) made up.
Tuesday, May 7
Sonny tried to interest Jordan (Tanisha Harper) in a “significant donation to the city of Port Charles.” Carly (Laura Wright) and Jason (Steve Burton) debated the possibility that Sonny was in crisis and how to best reach him. Carly appeared to make herself scarce when John (Adam J. Harrington) came calling but stuck around to eavesdrop.
Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) officially agreed to accept the position of spokesperson for the New Tomorrow Institute…. Felicia (Kristina Wagner) cautioned Anna where Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) was concerned.
Drew (Cameron Mathison) finagled a collab between Willow and Crimson which delighted Nina (Cynthia Watros) to no end…. Laura (Genie Francis) visited Heather (Alley Mills) who struggled to reconcile her murder of so many.
Wednesday, May 8
Jason filled Anna in on exactly what the FBI has on Carly, namely, a recording of her claiming to run the Corinthos Empire. Anna resolved to use Valentin to take Pikeman down…. Valentin gave Laura an update on Charlotte… Carly paid Brennan a visit at Pentonville.
Laura bemoaned sympathizing with Heather…. John issued Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) an apology for his prior bad behavior. Brook Lynn arranged an unincumbered catch-up between Lois (Rena Sofer) and John.
When Chase (Josh Swickard) sounded the alarm, Finn (Micheal Easton) agreed to speak with Gregory (Gregory Harrison) about forgoing the rehearsal dinner…. Dante informed Sam (Kelly Monaco) that he didn’t reign from the PCPD. She decided she’d bear the burden of being a cop’s significant other.
Thursday, May 9
Natalia tried, and failed, to convince Blaze to drop Kristina as her plus one to Brook Lynn and Chase’s wedding…. Ava took exception to Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) and Sonny’s objection to her attending the aforementioned wedding as Sonny’s guest.
Jason confessed to Sam that he spent the past two years as an undercover informant for the FBI and that he’s still under the agency’s thumb…. Jordan warned Laura against throwing her all behind Heather.
Gregory beat nervous Finn and Chase to the punch by announcing that he didn’t plan to travel to Coney Island for the rehearsal dinner. A subsequent blowup between Gregory and Finn saw the latter making a beeline for Alexis.
Friday, May 10
Anna peppered Dex with questions forcing the young man to admit that Dante may be biased in Sonny’s favor…. John tasked Jason with finding out why Carly visited Brennan. Jason filled Anna in.
Sam sparked Dante’s memory and he recalled learning that Jason was an FBI informant; the pair then debated John’s endgame and Dante warned that he believes the recent spat of mafioso murders are a part of something bigger. Sam resolved to help Jason in any way she can.
Josslyn and Dex engaged in a flirty foot race…. Sonny invited Natalia to be his plus one to Brook Lynn and Chase’s wedding…. Ava questioned Sonny’s pharmacist and put a number of “What ifs?” to him. Afterwards, Ava manipulated Sonny into admitting he likes their new normal.
