It was trendsetter Susan Flannery (ex-Stephanie Forrester, The Bold and the Beautiful; ex-Laura Horton, Days of our Lives) who first convinced of a luncheon where the previous year’s recipient of the Daytime Emmy for Lead Actress would treat the newest crop of nominees. On June 1, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood’s (Steffy Forrester, The Bold and the Beautiful) dutifully continued the tradition — but with a twist. This time, every female nominee, regardless of the category, was invited to the party.

In addition to Jacqueline MacInnes Wood and the six women vying for Lead Actress gold — Tamara Braun (Ava Vitali, DAYS), Finola Hughes (Anna Devane, General Hospital), Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan, B&B), Annika Noelle (Hope Logan, B&B), tardy to the party Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers, The Young & The Restless), and Cynthia Watros (Nina Reeves, GH) — the raucous ensemble was made up of Supporting Actress contenders Jennifer Gareis (Donna Logan Forrester, B&B), Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra, Y&R), Allison Lanier (Summer Newman, Y&R), and Emily O’Brien (Gwen, DAYS), as well as Ashley Jones (Bridget Forrester, B&B) and Alley Mills (Heather Webber, GH; Pam Douglas, B&B), both up for Guest Performance. Linsey Godfrey (Sarah Horton, DAYS; ex-Caroline Spencer, B&B) was indisposed and unable to attend.

The festivities began at The Rooftop by JG at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills and continued well into the evening at a pre-Emmys bash thrown by Gareis. Judging by the posts provided by the attendees, a good time was had by all!

The 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony will be telecast on Friday, June 7 at 8 PM EDT/Delayed PT on CBS (with a concurrent live stream and the ability to watch on-demand on Paramount+).
