Victor had it right when he locked Jordan in the basement and kept her in captivity on The Young and the Restless. The vodka! The Brussels sprouts! It was grand fun that kept us coming back for more. Now, Jordan’s in jail where she won’t hurt anyone again…and we think that’s a crying shame.

Why The Young and the Restless Needs Jordan

We can think of many reasons to keep Jordan (Colleen Zenk) lurking in the shadows. And, no, redemption is not one of them. We don’t want to see this bad girl turn good. In fact, we want to see this bad girl turn worse! The show has finally given us a Sheila-level villain and we don’t want to let her go so soon.

First and foremost, the drama was hot, the backstabbing ran deep, and Jordan was a fierce competitor for the Newmans, especially Victor (Eric Braeden). It’s not often we get to see the Genoa City powerhouse get the best of an enemy these days…since there doesn’t seem to be many enemies anymore. Jordan gave us the dark side the show needs.

Second, we’d love to see who Jordan could romance and manipulate into being her right hand. She could turn everything upside down by teaming up with a past devil, like Ian Ward, or turn someone in town like Jack (Peter Bergman). Her possibilities are endless!

Lastly, Jordan brings out the best…and worst…in Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and that keeps us glued to The Young and the Restless. She led Nikki back to the depths of her addiction and nearly cost her everything (and Jack’s life, too). It seems like an injustice to not let Nikki be the one to get the ultimate revenge. If we have to send Jordan away, at least let Nikki have some fun and play hero!
