It was a sad day today on The Young and the Restless. Heather’s Friends and family gathered to say their final goodbyes to the woman who touched all their lives. There were tears, there were speeches, and there was love…but there was also two very important faces missing from the crowd. We can understand Paul not coming home, but why was Lucy not around?

A Huge Young and the Restless Faux Pas

We were all for Daniel (Michael Graziadei) protecting his daughter by sending her on tour with Danny (Michael Damian). It was a good move on his part to remove her from the drama, especially in light of his arrest. Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant) didn’t need to be there to see any of that. However, it’s going a little too far to keep her away from her mother’s funeral.

Lucy is a grieving teen and needs closure. She lost her mother, her whole world is upside down, and she’s not even in the comfort of her home during all this distress. The least anyone can do is bring her back so she can say a proper goodbye to Heather.

Will Lucy Fall Back Into Bad Habits?

Let’s face it, it looks a lot less stress for Lucy to turn to the bottle and nearly destroy her life. We can only imagine how hard Heather’s death will be on the wayward teen. She’s already an emotional mess and missing the funeral is definitely not going to help at all.

Will she try to drown her sorrows by sneaking liquor on her granddad’s tour bus? Will she get into something much more dangerous? Our wish for Lucy is love, light, and healing, but we don’t think that’s the way her young life is going to go.
