Alright, my dears, let’s settle in and discuss what’s been happening in Genoa City. Things are definitely heating up, and I know you’re all anxious to hear the latest.

At Society, the tension was thicker than Devon’s bank account when Phyllis made her grand entrance. Diane, as expected, didn’t take too kindly to Red’s presence, and Jack, bless his heart, invited Phyllis to join them. Now, we know Jack has a soft spot for his former flame, but Diane wasn’t thrilled, to say the least. Phyllis, ever the performer, insisted her partnership with Cane was thriving, but Jack, ever the observant one, dropped the bomb that he’d heard otherwise. Diane, never one to miss an opportunity, couldn’t resist a little dig at Phyllis. I think most of us knew Jack was fishing for information about Cane. Loyal viewers will recall that Jack always thinks 2 steps ahead.

After Phyllis flounced off, Jack admitted to Diane that something felt amiss. He suspects Cane is playing a game, which isn’t really a shocker! As they were leaving, Amanda appeared and expressed her condolences about the situation in France. Jack and Diane, in no uncertain terms, warned her and Cane against any more “surprises”.

Then, in another corner of Society, Amanda and Phyllis met up. Phyllis, ever the strategist, grilled Amanda about Cane’s plans. Amanda, bless her heart, seemed to let slip that she’d put a lot of work into the partnership. And Phyllis, never one to let things go, wanted to know what that work entailed. Now, the AI situation is starting to become more clear. Phyllis, of course, knows all about it. Phyllis offered to take over the business, and urged Amanda to talk to Cane. Let’s hope Amanda listens to Phyllis!

Now, over at the Newman Ranch, things took a truly interesting turn. Victor, in his usual commanding style, summoned Cane. Cane, surprisingly, turned down Victor’s offer to partner against Jabot, claiming his family needed his attention. Victor, of course, wasn’t pleased. And Cane says, “I’m sorry.” I wonder if he truly is?

The drama escalates as Victor threatened to expose Cane’s father’s involvement with the French chateau. Cane, surprisingly, seemed unfazed, even daring to question Victor’s trust in him and his motivations for targeting Jabot. Victor, of course, accused Cane of developing an AI to destabilize companies, partnering with Phyllis’s hacking abilities. Victor insists Cane will benefit. He insists Cane partner up with him to take down Jabot. The drama continues, my friends, as we are left to wonder just how far Victor will go to get what he wants!

Switching gears, we find ourselves at the Abbott mansion, where poor Kyle, bless his heart, proposed to Claire. As we knew, it didn’t go as planned. Claire was naturally surprised, and rightly pointed out that the proposal seemed to stem from his recent drama with Audra. Claire, as she should, questioned his motives, reminding him that they haven’t even lived together yet. It was a pretty bad attempt on Kyle’s part, to say the least.

In an effort to explain himself, Kyle revealed that he was testing Audra’s intentions. Claire immediately asks how far he went with Audra, which will be a difficult answer for Kyle. And can you blame her? Kyle wants them to forget about it and have dinner. I don’t think so! She admits she needs time, and rejects a kiss.

Returning home, Jack and Diane find a dejected Kyle. Of course, they offered some wisdom, though they admit they didn’t want to be right. It will take some time for Claire to forgive him, if she ever does.

Now, over at Crimson Lights, Esther suggested some decaf for Claire, but she decides to live dangerously with an espresso. Holden approached her. Holden, bless his heart, wants her to tell her what’s wrong. Claire surprised Holden by announcing she wanted to get drunk! I guess things have been hard on her! Will these two find comfort in each other’s arms?

In tomorrow’s episode, we’ll see: Jack and Diane share words of wisdom with Kyle, likely reminding him that patience is a virtue (something he seems to lack!).
