Yesterday marked Eric Braeden’s 44th year playing the iconic role of Victor Newman. Talk about a reason to celebrate! Or…not. For Braeden, this news seems to have come as a bit of a surprise.
A Living Legend
It was a big day and the Y&R crew wasn’t going to let Eric Braeden forget it. A member of the staff went to his dressing room to wish him a happy anniversary. Much to their shock (and ours), he was the last to know. He took to Instagram to share his fun on set when he realized it was his big day.
“Forty-four years? Are you serious?” Said the star. “Forty-four years?!” When he was asked how he felt, he simply replied, “I feel very lucky,”
It came as a surprise to me today! I’m so fortunate to have been on this show for 44 years. Thank you to all of the fans who make it possible. We are so grateful to our fans, thank you for watching our show. @youngandrestlesscbs @cbstv
