Today’s The Young and the Restless recap for October 24, 2023, finds Adam and Victoria worried sick about Victor, Lily wondering about Daniel’s real feelings, and Phyllis and Danny growing closer.

Adam’s Worried Sick, But Not Nick

As Adam (Mark Grossman) tried to figure out what Victor’s (Eric Braeden) strange doodle meant, Nate (Sean Dominic) found him in Victor’s chair and wanted to know what the heck he was up to. He took Adam to task for invading Victor’s territory and threatened to tattle on him to his dad. Adam didn’t really care but still tried to make nice with Nate and smooth things over.

Adam soon tracked down Nick at the GCAC and asked him to put aside his anger for the sake of their father. Nick admitted he was concerned and eventually told Adam that Victor didn’t even remember that Sally lost her baby.

This led Adam to ask Nick if Victor was typically a man who would doodle. Nick found the idea to be a bit odd, so Adam showed him the drawing he found in Victor’s drawer. He pointed out that the lines were comprised of letters so Nick took a look and realized the letters spelled out the names of Victor’s kids and created a serpent.

Adam thought Victor was trying to send a message that his kids were vipers but Nick tried to brush it off as nothing but a doodle. However, as Nick looked at the serpent more, he seemed to know what it meant. He headed straight to Victor and told him that he was onto him and he needed to come clean.

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) met with Victoria (Amelia Heinle) at the ranch to discuss the Victor situation. Victoria was still worried sick but Nikki knew that Victor was trying to trick his kids to test their loyalty. Before Nikki got a chance to say too much, Victor entered the room and feigned offense at the idea that Victoria thought he could be losing it.

Victoria could sense tension between Victor and Nikki but brushed it off, so Victoria brought her concerns to Victor. She wanted him to seek help and likened his situation to the one she had with JT (Thad Luckinbill). After that ordeal, she thought she was fine but was fooling herself. Victor still claimed he didn’t need any help.

After Victoria left the ranch, she met up with Nate at Society and reported that her father seemed fine during this visit. She noted the tension between her parents but Nate just thought Nikki was failing in her attempt to get Victor to seek help. Nate also had news. He found Adam behind Victor’s desk and that alarmed him.

A New-Old Triangle?

The Young and the Restless – Danny and Christine

Danny (Michael Damian), Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), Daniel (Michael Graziadei), and Lily (Christel Khalil) sat down for a makeshift dinner in Daniel’s new apartment. His parents were thrilled that he was putting down roots and staying in GC and Daniel felt he owed it all to Lily for believing in his business vision.

The happy occasion turned into an angst-filled one when Phyllis opened her big mouth and expressed her joy at Heather (Vail Bloom) and Lucy (Lily Brooks-O’Briant) choosing to stay in town, as well. The mention of Heather upset Lily so Daniel did his best to assure her he was just glad to get to spend time with his daughter and not Heather.

After Danny and Phyllis left, Daniel was furious at his mother for bringing up Heather while knowing it would upset Lily. Surprisingly, Lily defended Phyllis and thought Daniel was blowing things out of proportion.

Danny and Phyllis ended up at Crimson Lights. They shared a close moment and both wondered if something could happen between her and Danny until Christine (Lauralee Bell) popped in like it was the 1990s all over again.
