Today’s The Young and the Restless recap for November 21, 2023, details Nikki’s precarious situation, Newman family fear, and Abbott family machinations.

Nikki’s Situation Keeps Getting Worse

Poor Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) no longer had an IV and was going through alcohol withdrawals. She did her best to keep from taking a swig of vodka as she called out for Claire (Hayley Erin). When nobody answered, she told herself to pour the vodka down the sink. It might be her only way to resist temptation.

However, when she went to do it, she couldn’t and ended up downing the whole bottle.

Back in Genoa City, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) was alarmed when she couldn’t seem to reach Nikki and had to keep leaving messages. Suddenly, Claire walked off the Newman elevator and told her that she was only back to grab some work. However, Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) called to tell her that Nikki had a seizure. They relayed the news to an alarmed Victor who got the Newman jet ready.

Within minutes, Victor, Victoria, and Nick (Joshua Morrow) were all packed and ready for a trip. Claire described Nikki’s fake seizure in detail, which Victor found to be quite curious. When he asked her for the name of the hospital, Claire claimed that she didn’t know.

So, Claire called Aunt Jordan and explained Victor wanted to talk. She put him on and Jordan seemed gleeful but didn’t express that with her voice. Instead, she sweetly explained that Nikki’s seizure was caused by her MS and she was being well taken care of. Amazingly, Victor was none-the-wiser.

Before we knew it, Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck), Victoria’s ex-husband, walked into the house looking for her and Nikki because he got a text to meet them there.

Ashley And Jack Spar

Diane (Susan Walters) looked forward to hosting her first Thanksgiving as Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) wife after all these years. Ashley (Eileen Davidson) was even wearing the same clothes as the previous episode where they made absolutely no mention of it being Turkey Day. Not only that, but she wanted to invite Tucker (Trevor St. John) over for Thanksgiving dinner.

Jack and Diane were totally against the idea, but Ashley thought he would be vulnerable and they could get information out of him. Jack just wanted a Tucker-free day. So, Ashley changed her idea to inviting him and Devon for a pre-dinner drink and that was it. Jack still wasn’t happy.

Finally, Ashley announced she would just go have a drink with Tucker herself but be back in time for dinner. Jack didn’t like the idea but relented. Before Ashley left, she spent some bonding time with Diane where they admitted they wanted to continue getting along.

Kyle’s Little Game

Kyle (Michael Mealor) met up with Audra (Zuleyka Silver) at the GCAC bar to discuss his ‘rash’ decision to back out of Tucker’s plot to take over Jabot and hand over the CEO position. Audra was expecting this but feigned surprise and told him he was confusing her.

Oddly enough, Kyle had a recording of Ashley announcing her plan to get Tucker to trust her and played it for Audra and Tucker. He claimed he knew that Ashley was trying to manipulate him. If only Ashley knew what Diane and Kyle were up to, ruining her plan to enact their own plan.

Tucker asked Kyle if he could create some sort of crisis at Jabot to have a reason for a takeover. Kyle understood and believed he got Tucker to claim to trust him.
