The Young and the Restless recap for November 10, 2023, has Summer facing the truth, Chance giving Nina good news, and Daniel reassuring Lily.
Good News For Nina And Chance
Chance (Conner Floyd) was happy to see Summer (Allison Lanier) when he woke and didn’t even notice Sharon standing there until Nina arrived. Both Sharon and Summer stood back so Nina could be with her son. He explained that he was shot after a jewelry store robbery. Thankfully, the bullet didn’t do too much damage.
Sharon soon caught up with Summer crying in the hallway. The two women tried to be kind to one another. Summer said she was sure Chance would rather have woken to Sharon’s face, but Sharon admitted she was glad he didn’t wake to a strange nurse.
Back in Chance’s hospital room, Nina once again tried to convince Chance to change his line of work. Chance had to admit that as soon as he was hit, his mind thought “not again.” Nina was thrilled to realize that Chance was really considering getting out of law enforcement. He knew he couldn’t keep putting his mother through this torture.
Summer Admits The Truth
Phyllis was hoping to have dinner with Danny and Daniel, but he broke the news to her that Daniel canceled. She wondered why they couldn’t just have dinner alone so Danny had to break the news that he was meeting Christine instead.
At least Phyllis had some company when Summer stopped into Crimson Lights still upset over what happened to Chance. Still, she insisted that Chance was just her friend and nothing more. Phyllis tried to get her to talk about how she was feeling, but Summer had no desire for deep conversation. Chance was dating Sharon and that was that.
Phyllis informed her daughter that she’s not competition because, in the end, Sharon always circles back to Nick. Phyllis definitely had a point and this gave Summer some food for thought. Summer finally admitted she had feelings for Chance, but she wanted her mother to mind her business.
When Sharon returned, Summer imagined telling Sharon the truth. Yes, she really is falling for Chance because the heart wants what the heart wants.
As for Danny and Christine, they enjoyed their dinner at Society, happy that Chance was going to be ok. Christine even admitted she missed Danny’s favorite pasta sauce, so he was willing to make it for her again some time.
Romance For Daniel And Lily
Daniel and Lily sat down for a quiet at the GCAC but Daniel could tell there was something on Lily’s mind and he wondered if Heather and Lucy’s move to Genoa City would complicate their relationship. Lily assured him that he was worried about nothing.
Lily admitted that she was not happy to miss the decorating consult so Daniel apologized for the whole thing turning into a reunion with Heather. Lily blamed herself because she was meeting with Devon and things ran late.
The pair decided to take things back to his apartment where there was still no furniture but there was plenty of romance. The lights seemed to be out, but they had candles on hand to set the mood. They went over Sally’s decorating ideas but Daniel had more on the mind. They decided to take things to Lily’s place where there was electricity and furniture.
