The Young and the Restless spoilers for for October 23, 2023, promise Victor trying to calm his wife and Nick trying to figure out his life.

Victor Has a Devious Plan

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) thinks it’s cruel and sadistic for Victor (Eric Braeden) to allow his children to believe he has dementia and that his health is suffering. They are worried sick about him and she knows it’s all a ruse. She also worries about what will happen if Nate (Sean Dominic) realizes Victor is up to no good and tells Victoria (Amelia Heinle) there is trickery afoot.

Victor says he has taken that into consideration and believes his plan will work. He promises Nikki that if things start to go awry, he will end it, but he needs to find out which one of his children he can trust. Maybe he can trust none of them or maybe all of them will come through. Nikki just has to keep her cool so he can see this through.

Nick Doesn’t Know What He Wants

Nick (Joshua Morrow) has been so concerned about his father’s health that he called a family meeting to try and figure out what’s really going on, but he also can’t help to think about what he’s lost and what he’s given up — namely Sally.

Sally has cried herself to sleep about this breakup but she could end up seeing the bright side very soon.

However, Nick is set to give mixed signals that could confuse Sally (Courtney Hope) but also confuse the Newman clan. With his life up in the air, he might not even realize what he is doing. He once again tells Sally it is over between them but still shows her that he cares.

Nick is also supposed to be starting his own company with Sharon (Sharon Case) but he can’t focus on that right now. Is she the person he ends up giving mixed signals to? Since he is torn between working with her and heading back to Newman Enterprises and the family fold for Victor’s sake, he could leave Sharon extremely confused, indeed.

Perhaps Nick needs someone or something to give him a wake-up call so he knows what direction to head in life. He’s not doing a bang up job on his own.
