Surely, The Young and the Restless has bigger plans for Chelsea and Adam. What’s a one-night stand without seriously soapy consequences? Adam and Chelsea hit the sheets to work off their stress and while it felt good at the time, they now have the salacious secret between them. They’ve sworn to take it to their grave, but what’s the fun in that?

A Young and the Restless Baby Twist!

Just picture this; a few weeks from now Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) starts suffering from a wee bout of sickness. A headache here and there, some nausea, maybe even getting turned off her favorite food. She’ll chalk it up to a summer flu or maybe food sickness, but that won’t be it at all. After a week or two of being in denial, she’ll finally run to the store and grab a pregnancy test hoping and praying it’s negative.

Of course, it won’t be negative. It will very much be positive. And, Chelsea will very much freak out. Pregnant?! Now?! Oh, how this will cause her whole world to spiral out of control. Not only is she nowhere close to emotionally ready for another child, but she’ll have to deal with the most obvious problem — who’s the daddy?!

Will she do what she did when she was pregnant with Connor (Judah Mackey) and simply decide this child will belong to Billy (Jason Thompson) and insist Adam (Mark Grossman) keep his trap shut? Would Adam even agree to that? He may not be the world’s best dad but he’s already given one child away (does anyone in Genoa City even remember Christian exists?), he probably won’t want to abandon a second one.

This will pose several problems for everyone involved. Eventually, Chelsea will have to come clean to Billy…and Adam to Sally (Courtney Hope). Poor Sally already has her reservations about Adam and his divided loyalties so this will destroy her. And, as for Billy, this could be the start of another epic feud with Adam.
