The Young and the Restless has a lot going on right now. Connor is struggling with his OCD, Ashley is battling her alters, the Chancellor-Winters team is at war, and Victor just finished dealing with his dangerous captive. The show is great, but could it be better with these three storyline we’d like to see?

Bringing More Drama to The Young and the Restless

Let’s start with Sharon (Sharon Case). The dynamic and gorgeous character needs a date. A real date. One without competition, complications, or overall messiness. The last guy she entertained is now with Summer (Allison Sweeney) and poor Sharon was left in the dust. It’s time for her to find the perfect guy.

Could that guy be in town? Should she revisit her past and rekindle a romance with Nick? The history of Sharon and Nick (Joshua Morrow) spans decades and many fans still see them as endgame. Their last attempt at romance didn’t work out, but why not try again? It’s not like either of them has anything else going on at the moment.

On a more dramatic front, why not bring back Kevin’s (Greg Rikaart) dark side? Kevin hasn’t had a front-burner storyline in a very long time. He and Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) got married and neither have been on screen a whole lot since. Having Kevin don his old Chipmunk suit and kicking off a crime spree would have us on the edge of our seats.

Plus, this could be just the type of mystery to get the blood pumping for the GCPD. A few petty break-ins, a small fire here or there, and the search for the culprit would be fun to watch. We’d know it’s Kevin but they wouldn’t. We could scream at our screens every time the cops fail to arrest the right man.

And, who would head the investigation? Paul Williams, of course! Our third wish would be to bring Paul (Doug Davidson) back! He’s been away far too long from The Young and the Restless and deserves to get back in action. Genoa City needs its top cop back on the mean streets and we need Paul’s gentle but firm nature to help nurture those who need it (like his best friend, Nikki). Paul’s return would be nothing but a win-win for everyone involved, including us viewers.
